I'm so tired of ranked

Honestly, I only have 30 wins and I don't have that "much" experience, and I never thought ranked was as bad as people said it was, but jesus, it's so fucked.

I have 10 reasons why it is bad

  1. The LP system punishes you for being good
  2. No way to save your MMR or LP if a player ints
  3. One player can't make you win but one player can make you lose (similar to 2)
  4. Ranked doesn't make league fun, it makes you care about losing/gaining LP and praying you don't get a dr mundo that runs into tower at level 2 and goes 1/17/2
  5. If you get a couple unlucky games, it takes AGES to get your MMR up (at around 10 wins i was on serious losing streak and was gaining +16 lp and -23 for a loss and took 10 or so games to get back to +18 -20, and 2 games later its back to +16 - 20)
  6. Not close to the meta? good luck, im not saying that offmeta champions cant work in ranked, because they definitely can, I'm saying that no matter how good you are a "busted" "meta" champion can pop off from 2 kills and wipe out the game for you.
  7. Riot doesn't actively try to fix any of this (lol)
  8. Autofill is a terrible mechanic, good luck winning if you get autofilled a role you've never played in your life minor nitpick: -3 lp for a dodge, I get that it's meant to stop people from pulling up op.gg and saying "this player = bad" and dodging 20 times, but the queue timer seems to be enough.
  9. If 3 players are equal in skill, the 2 that are duoqueueing have an advantage over the one playing solo. and finally, number 10.
  10. The game doesn't help you, riot doesn't help you, at level 30 people jump into ranked and mess peoples games up, reporting for inting and flaming doesnt do anything unless the player types 13 paragraphs of text, the game doesn't help you play better, it doesn't TRY to help you, it doesn't encourage diversity or unique strategies unless your good enough to make them work. Riot doesn't care about the individual player experience.

Yes, im on a losing streak, yes im pissed off, yes i could have played better, but its pushed me over the edge

When you get into a losing streak, take a break. Don’t jump into a game if you’re already tilted.

when you are still learning stick to a single champion. get a lot of experience with them and learn the matchups in normals. Try to reduce your deaths per game and only after doing that go ranked

If youre on a losing streak, just play some norms. Try a new champion, play some off meta shit, or just continue practicing your main (it's norms, no one gives a shit. And if they do, just mute them. No need for negativity)

Better yet, take a break from League altogether. Go for a jog, study for a test, go to the gym, get a bite to eat with your friends. Basically, don't let League control your life. I did, and my grades plummeted, my cross country race times were slow, and I felt like I had no social life. I recently changed up how much I play League, and it's honestly turned my life around so far.

I still play, but not as much as I used to. And it's just a game, dont take it too seriously. None of it is necessarily real. Games are meant for fun and League is no different.

Yeah ranked does suck at times. Everyone who plays ranked has a few shitty experiences with it. But if you just focus in your games and not worry about what your teammates do along with taking frequent breaks, you will get a lot better and the wins will come more naturally.

I promise you that you will perform better in games and you will overall feel like you've done more in your day if you just take a break every once in a while. Clear your head and don't let the toxicity get to you :)
