I very much dislike the new ranked system and a vent.

I don't get it, I'm aware that a good bit of the stuff I'm about to say will probably be considered mindless things you say when you're tilted, but atleast give me a listen. Didn't riot say that they wanted to encourage lane diversity? Then why did they add individual ranks for each role? Do they expect people to play every single one for each? Why did they make placements take so long to do? Why has match quality gone down? Last season I was silver 4 and even though I had a 50% WR atleast most of my lanes would go even. More than 5+ (out of my 8 total) ranked games I've had a lane go more than 0/4. Players go stupid shit like sylas support and then flame the team when we lose. It doesn't matter if I do well or do terrible, nobody I'm being paired with is taking the game seriously. I really want the old ranked system back and I want my old MMR based play back. I'm tired of getting a botlane that goes negative and complains about muh jungle when they haven't been ganked. I'm tired of having flaming/toxic/soft inting players on my team. Please revert rito

I find one thing that bothers me is that a lot of players who's main role is supp or adc would either duo queue or play a different role until they got higher up. Now you can't do the second option. You either have to duo queue or hope your random lane partner isn't an idiot, jerk, or (worse) both. I'm a support main and the person I'm going to duo with is a jungle main. I was going to play mid starting out and then switch to support later, but now I have to play support.

How is people being dicks caused by the system? Gold 2 here and in euw we still have the old ranked system. I met a support Zoe, support Neeko, support malphite 0/8 with his inventory being like: Cloth armor, ruby Cristal, half locket , an amp tome (what the hell was he even trying to buy is beyond me) and frostfang. No boots. At minute 30. I repeat, at minute 30 no boots. In high gold /low plat mmr. Oh, cherry on the cake, he picked malphite support with vayne ADC. Now, the pick is always thrash but if you have like a miss fortune, maybe an Ashe.. I can see the reasoning behind it. No, with vayne. In the last 10 games or so I played someone was 0/6 or worse in the first 15 minutes... It's start of the season, people troll, boosted accounts start playing at an mmr they don't deserve and feeding their asses off, people play for "I don't care I only want to see where I place" , there are returning players that quit during one of the past seasons and come by to see how lol is doing, jumping straight into ranked with months or years of missing patches. The other day my ezreal built a botrk, trinity and last whisper.. No tear. No tanks on enemy team. Oh the vayne with statikk infinity edge rush was kinda fun too . It's a zoo right now, it happens every single season.. Nothing unusual. The unusual thing for me is having to play as autofilled ADC against plat players.. Boy, that's a miserable experience for my poor team! I can't wait for the new position rank to reach us too.. At least if I get ADC I can play against people at my skill in the role! (probably bronze.. The account I made to learn ADC has been stuck in silver 5 0 LP all of last season)

Because there's no incentive to win or even try on your off roles.

Only your highest role matters for the important end of season rewards. Losing on an off role will only penalize it with -4 LP. Also, nobody wants to trade, because their LP in the traded lane also won't apply to their main role.

Yes, they want players to play different champions in the roles they play. That is a game balance issue and not a ranked system issue

Because it increases the quality of games

They expect people to play the game the way they like. The system is in the background to improve games.

Placement games give bonus lp so having more placement games means a shorter overall grind.

How? Last season was one of the most snowball heavy seasons. Players constantly would get stomped one game and stomp the same opponents next game

Same things as last season. However, last season was even worse because autofilled players got into games they couldn't win even if they tried.

Why? Getting autofilled allies was so much worse last season.
