I will give him credit, he was much more reasonable and explained better than Hashinshin.
As for Hashinshin’s proposed changes, some make little sense and wouldn’t have solved anything, like:
-
Ornn Q now magic damage and based off 2% health....why? His Q is not the problem and he doesn’t build AD. His W got tapped down, it might have to go down a little more.
-
Jayce I don’t understand, and perhaps someone could explain better, but wouldn’t it be better for fighters if he had more motivation to be in Hammer Form? I thought his issue was his Cannon Form, especially Gate - Shockblast.
I’d question his change to PtA, but I remembered that he believes it’s the only keystone for fighters..which isn’t true when you think that people tend to lump Skirmishers (Jax, Yi, Fiora, Yasuo), Divers (Xin, Vi, Aatrox), and Juggernauts together.
The update to Grasp on the PBE is interesting. It might need some fine tuning depending on how testing goes, but it’ll at least be much nicer on Juggernauts and certain Divers.
As far as tanks go, if they had the minimum damage they could have in lane so they could at least CS, it might not be as bad, since the focus for tanks should be on their teamfighting over their lane power, but this can be seen when the jungler shows up to help the tank. Toplane should not be a 1v1 fest, and if people are really gonna complain about how they lost a 2v1 because the jungler showed up, then I have to question what they expect when in Toplane. A Fighter or Skirmisher should have the 1v1 power over a tank, whether DPS like Jax or armor shredding like Darius and Garen, but once teams start coming together more, the tank should ultimately have the advantage over certain Fighters. Juggernauts can be an exception as some are really strong when enabled in a teamfight (landing that perfect Illaoi ult or getting the Darius multi-man Q and ult chain).
