Are there any champions that scale harder than Jax as a hard carry split pusher?

This is what people seem to recommend as the best scaling carry to pick.

I'm liking what I can do with Jax as a duelist and split pusher. Not too bad early and pretty good mid game. I feel like I can solidly 1vs1 most people I come across as long as I play smart and am not way behind.

But I'm wondering if there are other good options I haven't considered for silver/gold elo.

I'd love it if Master Yi worked for this, because I love his project skin, but I just don't find him to be nearly half as good as Jax.

Nasus? It seems like Jax has more versatility and impact early/mid game. If I get harassed out of farm it's over.

Gangplank?

Irelia? I've heard she falls off later.

Graves?

Fiora? Don't think she carries as hard as Jax, but I could be wrong.

Olaf?

Riven? Doesn't she depend more on snowballing an early game advantage as opposed to carrying hard late?

Tryndamere. I hear people mention him a lot as the best duelist and split pusher. I don't find it as easy to lane with him or pick off enemies as I can with Jax.

Yasuo?

I suppose there's always vayne.

Xin zhao seems to fall off later.

Trynda scales really hard as well

Harder is kinda subjective though.

By scales I would mean, by level 18 with full build (assuming the right build), up against other players who are also level 18 with full build, they are the strongest champions 1vs1. Meaning their kits scale the best with both levels and items.

Jax probably is the best at what you're talking about. Yasuo and Irelia are close. Olaf and Fiora are ok. Wouldn't recommend Nasus or GP

Some that might be worth a thought:

Kayle - Pushes fast, late game monster, ult allows for 2v1s, but lacks the escapes of Jax/Yas/Irelia/Fiora and the tankiness. Armor/mr shred also is more suited for teamfights.

Udyr - Really hard to kill and harder to catch, pulls a lot of map pressure towards him and rotates quickly, push speed is decent, but doesnt have the burst of Jax/Irelia/Yas. Also he sucks top, but if you're in the jungle he is alright.

Singed - Can proxy, hard to kill and catch, rotates quickly, but is a really strange play style and doesnt take towers very fast at all.

Teemo - hard to fall behind unless you get camped, free vision from the mushrooms makes splitting safer, sieges well, stealth is good for picks. Downside is he's fairly squishy even if you go that Frozen Mallet build and he is a little easier to catch although not by much.

It's hard to say who is the strongest 1v1 at 18 because with a lot of the dueling champs it's all about how you play it. If we use Jax as a metric then I think Singed and Udyr are definitely out as far as dueling goes. Kayle would probably lose most 1v1s to a good Jax, but she might win a few. With teemo it really depends how well teemo can kite the Jax, but I'd say Teemo could win his fair share.

Fiora scales super hard and her catch out and duel and split push potential is amazing. However her lack of team fight presence is a bummer, but for 1v1 and 1v2 Fiora probably scales harder.

{quoted} Riven? Doesn't she depend more on snowballing an early game advantage as opposed to carrying hard late?

Nope, Riven doesn't rely on snowballing as long as she has decent farm. She never really falls off, yunno.

Problem is, Riven is an assassin. She's really not a duelist. She's too squishy for that. Her skill at 1v1's comes from bursting down an enemy before they can do shiiiiiiit. She's better at teamfighting or roaming the jungle catching people rotating because of that.

Also, Riven can escape a lot easier than any other split pushers you listed, especially with 45% cdr and wall hops. So even if she can't fight you, she can still run.

Irelia and others fall off late game because they are not building full damage build or attack speed they are mostly tanks.

Udyr and Singed are definitely good options.

Udyr is an excellent duelist and his abilities are rather useful when splitpushing:

  • Turtle Stance provides damage reduction and sustem
  • Phoenix Stance provides waveclear
  • Monkey's Agility, Tiger Stance and synergy with Sheen let him kill towers rather quickly
  • Bear Stance lets him chase and escape enemies when they try to collapse on him

If need be, you can quite easily lead enemies on a long chase through their own base and jungle to waste their time.

Singed is weaker at taking towers, but he is far more difficult to chase down and kill than many alternatives. His synergy with Rylai's Crystal Scepter and Zz'rot Portal make him very difficult to deal with since he can just outrun you and chasing him slowly kills you.

However, Singed splitpushes differently than most champions. The biggest benefit is that he is quite capable of proxy farming multiple waves of minions (two lanes normally, three with Zz'rot Portal) simultaneously. While this means all of the farm goes to Singed, it makes every lane on the map push into the enemy towers and leaves your team free to do whatever they want without being punished. They are free to take objectives, siege tower or roam the map while the enemy team loses a massive amount of farm and tower health if they even try to stop them.

You won't find a better late game splitter than Jax, because that is his entire identity and his kit is perfect for that purpose. He can push towers as fast as anyone else in the game with the exception of Nasus. I would Describe Jax as the strongest late game duelist in the entire game, because he can go up against pretty much anyone from ADC to mages to fighters to tanks when he has enough gold.

Not to say he's the only one who can do it though. A Tryndamere played well can be just as strong. And there are loads of other champs who can fit the role, who are perhaps stronger in lane and are better at dealing with multiple enemies.

DrMundo Kayle Olaf Yasuo and don't forget the remake of Yorick

Also, don't forget the single best lane shover and early-mid tower pusher in the game Heimerdinger
