What is the easiest champion to pick up and play effectively for each role?

I want to know how the community views this, for my own nefarious purposes, I promise no one will go to jail like last time. If you can explain why that would be great too!

I'll fill these in with the most common champions once enough replies come in (hopefully)!

Bruiser: Tank: Mage: Assassin: Marksman: Support: Jungle:

Careful with Ali. His skill comes in mastering the combo, and can be deceivingly hard to really do well with.

Recent buff made it so if you press Q at any time during W you'll execute the combo automatically, so it's not hard anymore

Lux is medium easy. I've seen some TERRIBLE lux players that miss ult everytime

In my honest opinions..being as biased as possible to the word "easy"

Bruiser:Garen Obvious reasons, you can build straight tank and do massive dmg. Tank: Rammus Building item 3075 and item 3083 makes you almost unstoppable and melees kill themselves Mage: Annie a pretty simple to figure out Mage, High burst, A stun, a tank NPC with high dmg to spawn as ult. shields. Assassin: Akali (Though she is a hit or miss as far as being effective) (Zed is also easy to pick up) Akali is a pretty easy champ mechanic wise to learn...Q your opponent then R AA R Q AA E R..basically around there..combining Q with AA is a strong attack since it procs it..easy to learn. Zed: He is a easy assassin to learn, and a gateway champ to micro management champs. But once you get him figured out he can counter about 90% of the champs in this games. He has a long range poke combo W>E>Q. and a long range engage combo W>W>R...or just to chase W>W or slows W>E.. or if you are being chased you can W>W ahead of yourself, then E whenever the enemy are on your shadow to slow them even more. Marksman: Ashe or Caitlyn Equally both are pretty simple marksman with long range ults so you dont have to get too close. caits longrange piercing Q gives her good poke, as well as ashes W gives her long range AOE poke and slows constantly on every AA giving her the edge on chases. Support: Sona Sona gives you almost every tool a support will need for beginners. If you are just getting into the support role and you want to figure out how things go bot lane without getting too crazy, sona is the way to go. She has a Heal, a MS buff, a Stun with her ult, and a pretty decent poke with her Q just to harass a little. shes a pretty basic beginner support Jungler: MasterYi Yi as we all know and love, is a very very basic straight forward champ...he hits things, you have Q to dodge abilites or jump ahead and get into the middle of things, W to heal you whilest jungling (so you dont have to go back all the time)..you also have his E which empowers his Auto attacks, making his camp clear pretty fast, and then last we have his ult...the ultimate chaser, gap closing, DBZ fighting mode, ult. with Yi's ult you have the ability to make your presence in a lane known quickly, Yi's movement speed is increased dramatically and so is his attack speed. he is able to burst into a lane and Q and opponent combined with his E and start whacking away at an enemy while dealing tons of damage. Yi is a very viable beginner jungler. not much to him, just hack and slash

Can you elaborate why you picked these champs? Except Garen, he's is self explanatory.

Zed's not easy to pick up if you play vs anyone with half a brain.

Just because something is the easiest doesn't mean they're the best though. Many of these champs are limited in their own ways.

It seems there's no consistency to this, I don't know if people are basing things off of bias to champions they think are easy mode, or general dislike because no ones explaining why.

Here's an example I'd put Garen as one of the easiest yet effective Bruisers, as someone who plays him a lot, there is depth to his kit, but his Q > E > R combo is very effective and easy to pull off without much to think about right off the bat. Yet he can still win trades against more complex champions like Fiora timing his W to counter her Q, following up with a Q > E while backing off, repeating till in R range, or saving your Q to break snares, there are lots of legit choices you can make with this champion, but on the surface you can still face roll a Q > E > R very effectively.

Which is why Garen is an easy, yet effective champion, but continues to extend into greater depth at higher level plays despite the simplicity of his kit.

ALSO, you are basing your votes on biased opinion..so basically this thread is irrevilent, however to help our new people. annie and cait seem to be popular votes..annie for mage, and cait for adc
