Now that Sona's Plat+ play rate is less than 4%...
...will people stop citing her 51.6% win rate for reasons why she doesn't need looking into?

Meanwhile Karma's is 1.89% playrate with a 48.54% win as a support in Plat+

I think Karma should be made more into a solo-laner, if you ask me, but a good buff she could use is to make her R+W STUN instead of "root longer" (assuming we were aiming for support). If we're aiming for mid laning, she could instead do .4 X 3 hits instead of .3 X hits, and keep it as a longer root. Reduce the healing for them both and either make it stun at the end or up the damage per tick throughout.
Doesn't mean Sona's fine either. MF has a slightly higher play and win rate, and no one thinks MF is fine. Why do people say Sona's fine?
I don't think riot will buff her because of her hidden power.

Who's fault is that for making her an AoE aura champion? Besides, her "hidden power" is fking color coded. If you play Sona you know everything you should look out for: Purple = Speed up/Speed down AA. Green = Health + Shield/Damage down AA. Blue = Damage bolts + extra damage AA/Even more damage AA. Yellow line = you aren't moving.

Not sure if that's rhetorical, but she was designed by Riot Ezreal(Colt Hallam) and Riot Guinsoo(Steve Feak.) Just a quick history lesson.

I meant that it's dumb to make a champ based on sound and areas of effect, only to turn around and go "Yup, too much invisible, color-coded power".
Just make her shield last longer than 1.5 seconds, for starters. Like, how crazy can an extra .5 - 1 second be in a game where most shields last around 4-5 seconds?

Yes and Fearless is both a self-proclaimed jungle main and openly admitted that when he began "reworking" her, that he has never actually played Sona in his history as a player. This is supported by his claims of Sona being a "passive" champion or Sona players "sitting in back." Which is absolute BS. Fearless had no business reworking a champion that he literally had ZERO understanding of her theme, kit, playstyle, lore, feel, interaction, mechanics, et cetera...
Going back to Sona's designers, it says Riot Shurelia(Miyuki Mitsuhashi) reworked Sona. Since Sona was released when champions did not have passive abilities, I wonder if this means she created Power Chord. I'd be grateful if anyone could confirm this or give more context on it as I joined in season 3, so I have no idea.
Winrates are the go-to argument that sheeple need to desperately cling to because they don't want to put in the effort to think for themselves.
They've never played Sona, they don't understand her, they don't understand why nobody plays her. It would just take a few seconds to look at the stats, numbers and comparisons that have been spammed all over these Boards by actual Sona players, but even that is too much effort for them.

That's the vibe I normally get these days. -_-
Most people agree she needs to be looked into. The question has been how much and how should it be done?
In my opinion every one of her abilities needs to be reworked. She's a generalist with a high emphasis on bursty poke. And every iteration of her kit has been deemed unhealthy by Riot. I'm not convinced her current kit will ever be workable in Riot's eyes.
By that logic Kayle and Heimer need buffs because their pickrates are low in Plat+ even though they're at over 50% winrates

Talon buffs please pickrate too low.

Kayle: You really think that in the game's current state, Kayle is a decent pick? She isn't. Even when Devourer first came out, she was only strong when she had a perfect jungling experience. Now she's old news. She's archaic. Needs a rework.
Heimer: Riot said that Heimer stomps solo-que, but actually sucks when people are organized. Higher elos are better at organizing. Heimer needs to be reworked so he isn't this toxic to begin with. Not sure why every online game has to have annoying ass inventor classes that just make turrets and other automated attacks.
Regardless, "ok" win rates =/= healthy state for a champ. I don't see people raving about how strong Nami is these days either. Hell, doesn't Thresh have a negative win rate?
Pick rate is a better indicator of balance concerns than win rate unless the win rate is especially high, but at that point the pick rate would be too.
