Building vs Tahm Kench

I've seen a number of "nerf Tahm" posts lately. I've been maining Tahm, and while he is a strong champ, the problem is usually that my opponents do not build properly. This is regarding top lane, btw.

Positioning is super important vs a Tahm. Remember that his Q and W spit are both linear skill shots. When you are fighting Tahm, you don't want to run away from him where he can Q you -- use a blocker minion. If Tahm can't cc you, you will likely win trades. This means thinking kind of like you would vs a Fiora - run circles and take advantage! Also remember that he cannot cast his E shield while under CC, so save it until he's low life if you plan on killing him. If you want to plan ahead, cc him when he's at half life with a good deal of grey health, then bait the shield when he emerges from control and back away. A low-health Tahm is exceptionally vulnerable to ganks.

Most of the time I roll people in lane, it is because they do things like rush frozen heart and try to duel me. Play smart. Abuse his skill shots and his reliance on magic damage.

If you are very nervous, remember that cleanse is also effective vs him, probably moreso than ignite in most cases.
