Garen actually can do Support, he's just not particularly good at it, being one of the most kite-able melee champs out there, and being more gold-hungry than your typical support.
Actually, I'm going to go and test that last one again. The last time I did that, it was really just ordinary Garen and ordinary Wukong going Duo Bot. I'll be back tomorrow.

Rammus top - It works. Gnar mid - Not good, he'll be outranged and destroyed. Vi mid - Will probably get out harassed and go oom easily. It can work if the enemy has shit waveclear and she can roam. Garen mid - I don't see why. Gangplank mid - Seen it, it's not bad. Cho'Gath mid - This is a serious thing. It's just like Cho top. Nocturne mid - So bad. Sion mid - He could probably do it. Sivir mid - Not a good idea. Jax mid - Probably won't work. Vayne jungle - What? Trundle Support - It's not the best, but it's ok. Jinx Support - No.

mid pretty good, but it is best if you end up fighting a mage or AP assassin, as she can use her spell shield to nullify enemy damage
mid is pretty good too, you'll intiate a lot of trades by q'ing in and following up with a w, then walking out with your passive shield to partially ignore the return trade damage
and 
top would probably require more tanky builds, which would still be fine with 's AP stacking mechanic, and 's exceptional base AP and AP scallings
AP 
mid is pretty brutal with the poke it offers, plus you still get the benefit of the shield and the cc from the rest of the kit, would recommend more of an AP bruiser build though
mid (and 
mid for similar reasons) works really well since can be the normal lane bully he is and force out the enemy laner with his natural tankyness (may want to add extra magic resist to your runes if against mages) and the fact that he is manaless
mid might work, no clue, I haven't seen him outside of the jungle for a couple patches.

It's more about the sheen and phage procs from your AA's and being tanky rather than ability scaling.

COWmanLord1 votesAnnie has an aa range of 625. That is actually significantly longer than most adcs. The only ones with longer aa range are Cait with 650 and end game tristana who caps out at 669. Jinx has longer range while using fishbones, Twitch has longer range while using his ult, and kog maw has longer range with his ww, but in terms of Base auto attack range without any modifiers annie has the 2nd highest in the game.

If her base attack speed is on par, then maybe she could be played as an adc in normals. Tibbers is definitely great for tanking turrets if need be.

Terff1 votesWell graves could always function decently up at top, and I've played Gangplank AP mid, and I've had my ass kicked by a nocturne mid and did decently against a veigar top.
Slamurai Jack1 votesI can tell you that Mid most certainly works, having played it myself. Her wave clear is strong, her roaming is excellent, and she really benefits from the extra gold and exp that a solo lane provides. And her matchups are, for the most part, quite favorable. She has the power to smash mid lane assassins and the tools to kill mid lane mages as well. Her Q functions as a decent escape, and she has enormous snowball potential, easily as much as the other AD assassins. Her only real weaknesses as a mid laner are that she's quite mana hungry if you use your spells too much, which can be an issue, and she is also a bit snowball reliant, just like the other AD mids.

Mid Cho is a normal off meta champ and something I play often. Can build tank, ap bruiser, or full ap and do well. Also a great counter to assassins.
