what is the responbility of a jgler?

i just picked up jgling and people get sooooooooooo mad at me because they lost lane. like if top loses a 1v1 lane they starts flaming me. but if you look how top is playing, they NEVER ward, and over extend. that's asking to get ganked. their cs is trash, and they expect me to gank when river IS WARDED and they don't do anything to clear them out.

correct me if i'm wrong, but i'm not suppose to win lane for them, am i? my understanding is to assist lanes. to me, my main priorities are jungle objectives, like Buffs, Dragon, Baron. and depending how a lane is doing i'll assist, and even cover if my team needs to back.

i seem to win every game when people pay attention to me. for example, if i tell them to ward, to prevent gank. or if i ask them to let the enemy team push so i can position myself fora good gank.

the games i seem to lose are the ones where they never listen to me, they do the complete opposite. "yo can you ward?" no ward. "yo let him push", my idiot team mate over extends. "watch out, jgler going top" they don't back off and get ganked. yup, but it's my fault.

Your job, as a jungler, is to control the flow of the match. Snowball who you can, and be there to countergank whenever you can manage it. A good jungler will be able to guess the enemy jungler's position on the map correctly off of no information other than the time of the game, based on his own clear speed and his knowledge of the enemy jungler's champion. That is a high level of skill for someone who is just learning of course, and I wouldn't expect to have anywhere near that level of knowledge until you're nearing Plat in ranked.

You have to know which lanes you can actually help, too. Most laners are only focused on their lane, and not the match as a whole. Since I'm a top lane main I'll use it as an example. If your top laner is winning the most you would want to do for them is countergank. They are already snowballing on their own, so they can likely continue to do so while you influence the rest of the map. Place some deep wards around top lane if you can, but if not simply put as much pressure on mid and bot lane as you can. By pressuring the other lanes the enemy jungler will have to choose between helping those camped lanes and helping top lane recover.

If top lane is losing you have to look at whether a few kills can get your laner back in a good position. If your top knows to play defensively, and is able to survive a tower dive, a few ganks couldn't hurt if the timing is right. If you honestly can't think of a way to impact that lane just abandon it. If your top laner is good they will understand.

It's the same for all lanes. If they are winning try and countergank and snowball if it's safe to try an actual gank, if not quickly decide whether a gank would help your laner or simply slow down the enemy. In the lane phase it's almost always better to speed up your allies elsewhere than to slow down an enemy.

In short you are right, it's not your job to win lanes for your allies, however if you can help you very well might want to. Your goal isn't to make your laners happy, it's to win, so do what you need to do.
