Champion Mastery: Any Upcoming Changes/Tweaks on Tap?

When Champion Mastery first came out, we heard plenty about how this is only the beginning, that more levels and other things would be added down the line. Now that you see at least one level 4-5 every match on your team, 5 levels just isn't cutting it anymore.

We also need more of a reward to motivate ourselves to grind it out to level 5 than a badge only your teammates can see. But it's taking them multiple patches to "test out" letting enemies see it in match, so I'm not getting my hopes up too high there.

I just want some fine tuning, whatever that might be, because there's still tons of room to improve. But Riot's been extremely quiet on this front and so I was wondering if we could get a little update.
