@Riot, stop placing me on purple side

Take it as a compliment. Purple side teams generally have the higher average MMR to compensate for the disadvantage of being purple side. You're just too good for blue side. Lol.

I knew about that already, but it doesn't always work like it should. I've played against 3 diamonds before while I was on purple side, with the highest rank on our team being plat, if I remember right.

Other than those occasional exceptions, why am I constantly being placed in teams with the higher MMR average?

It's not even only on SR (normals and ranked). It happens on every map.

I blame this phenomenon for being one of two reasons why I can't climb.

Go in settings and decrease the size of the HUD.

I've already decreased its size to the smallest I can while still being able to read the numbers.

It's not the HUD that's the problem. It's the camera angle.

Same, I play so much worse on purple side, aiming skill shots, dodging them, I play locked screen so if in bot lane the enemy is free to just attack me from off my screen and it's just the difference between blue and purple side for a player in locked screen is massive. If I could be blue side every game I'd probably have about a 65% win rate, I lose that many games off of purple side disadvantages Stick me purple side bot I'll probably have no farm because I can't go near it without being killed from off screen, there you go team 4v5, put me blue side and I'll probably win unless I have Janna support.

I feel the exact same way. I would definitely win a lot more matches if I always had blue side.

I don't know why you are upset. TECHNICALLY you're supposed to have a higher percentage to win on purple side (according to how your team was made up or w/e) so it means you should have the "advantage" skill wise at least, by 5% or something like that lol. Just learn to deal with it, sides don't really make much of a difference. It makes early dragon control a lot easier and safer, so use it. Each side has its own unique advantages/disadvantages, so abuse those and you'll play fine.

Playing on purple side is like playing a game with a faulty camera. I shouldn't have to fight with a poorly placed camera angle as well as 5 enemy players. That's bad game design. If you guys don't mind it, then you can have it. As long as my request to always have blue side is granted.

Supposedly this issue won't be as bad with the new map releasing soon, but it still has the same camera angle. They could have used this opportunity to really fix the problem, but they refused to, just like with ARAM. It wasn't "oh we couldn't because technical issues and the graphics!" regardless of how much they said it. They straight out chose to do nothing about it. With as much money as they have and the experience they've acquired since the game came out, you'd think they would do something about the core issues such as this, especially since the camera angle has been a widely voiced concern since beta.

I don't care about slightly better dragon control and whatever else. I want a legitimate camera angle! Seeing what's behind me more than what's ahead of me is not fun.
