Brand needs his 2 second stun back

Nerfing his passive and heavily nerfing all his spells except W, which is a big deal for a mage and including all the AP item nerfs mind you, to compensate for his new gimmick was one thing, but there was absolutely no need to nerf the stun on top of it all. It's all the mid-range Brand has to defend himself and he needs it to pull off his combos. This is exacerbated more so with tenacity.
The fact he has to combo, which includes landing a skill shot that's slower than Blitzcrank's Q (not even kidding, look it up) to get the single target stun is just absurd to have it last for a mere 1.5 seconds. Meanwhile, Xerath gets a stun that lasts up to 2 seconds with a projectile that's in fact faster than Blitzcrank's Q and also without needing to combo.
After playing Brand a lot since the MYMU, it doesn't feel good seeing the enemy consistently get out of W's area due to the stun wearing off so quickly, let alone seeing his spells resulting in barely tickling the enemy unless he manages to pull off the new gimmick, but good luck achieving that when you can't land your W. The only real way for W to hit in Brand's traditional combo is to have the reflex required to cast it immediately after the target is stunned, or cast it while Q is still in the air and gamble on it hitting. Otherwise the target will run or dash out of range before W finishes.
Even with the sound reasoning given above, if Riot still thinks somehow Brand having a 2 second stun is too much, despite him having it the past 5 and a half seasons and now with all his damage reduced to support levels, I'd suggest increasing W's area of effect.
