PBE Soraka change feedback and proposed change

Here is what we have on the PBE : https://twitter.com/MarkYetter/status/1227391212929183744/photo/1

Now the main problem is here : by nerfing the self heal, you make Soraka useless because she rely on healing back on her Q to heal on duo lane. I can understand that the free low mana cost healing and movement speed when running from enemy can be a pain for top laner. Top lane Soraka rely entirely on hitting those Q and poke while healing to negate incoming poke since the main top laner roster is melee so range priority can be a nightmare to deal with. Problem is by nerfing her self sustain for top lane, increasing the mana cost and nerfing the movement speed, you basically gut Soraka from support role as well . The current meta is engage and hook support and misspositioning often result in a death sentence. The poke being done by the enemy ADC, you could Q from time to time and soak the harass while keeping your ADC healthy, but if the proposed change goes throught, Soraka won't be a wise choice in any situation and will most likely be replaced with better healer like Nami or Sona since her nerf is basically a buff for duo lane.

So here is my proposition: In the past, the rejuvenation got moved from W to Q. I think it should be reverted and you have to max W to get better healing on Q instead. By doing that, you force Soraka to actually invest in W if she want better healing so it's less appealing in solo lane as you can't heal anyone but the jungle who come from time to time. Maxing Q get lower value since the damage is not as good as right now and she doesn't heal as much either.

She doesn't need much base stat change or W change other than that and I garentee you, she will go back to being support only.

I guess Soraka Tank will back again. No point buying AP any more, not worth with only 30% of AP ratio, just item 3174 item 3107 as always and then item 3860 item 3083 item 3110 item 3111. I guess this will my main Sorka build.

I think that changes its nothing, she will be clearing top slower but who cares?Global heal is same and W heal is even buffed so w/e maybe this change her winratio -5%. I never pick Soraka top to dominate that lane but for mid/late game help to my carry.

So she needs to land Q to get the most out of her W. So the just encourage it but it doesn't stop the fact that her Ulti is global and instant.

They'll let her be successful for the Soraka mains that have wanted her to be relevant for the longest time, sell a couple of hoe-y PJ and SG Soraka skins, make sure to get a couple of people invested to buy Night/Dawnbinger Soraka AND THEN they'll cut down her ulti to be channelled and non-global.

Moving the self regen from Q to W is a bad idea because it made Q a non-skill. In those days the optimal way to play Soraka was to max W, then E, then Q. You went ancient coin and actually did not want to interact with the laners at all. There was literally 0 reason to level up Q second because by the time you are done putting points in W, you are out of lane phase and in mid game, where if you go in range to Q someone you will probably die / take a lot of damage and the Q didn't do any damage.

Ironically having the refund passive on W does this same thing. There will less incentive to max Q first or even second with these changes.

They need to fix toplane, not this. Or, more appropriate nerfs would be making the Q like Nami's, in which it always takes the same time to land regardless of distance, giving some melee laners time to dodge it.

Base Stat changes aren't going to do anything, because Soraka Top isn't about winning lane. It's about giving a support solo income and having her support her allies later in the game while mitigating her loss top as well as she can. Changing W does nothing because that effects Support Soraka, not Solo-lane Soraka. Solo-lane Soraka will just max W to get more healing from Q so they can survive lane longer, not to win lane.

OOOR rito could leave soraka as she is, and buff toplaners instead? like seriously , juggernauts get destroyed by adc's and supports IN THEIR OWN LANE, and playing top is a 50/50, so ppl would rather play a dumb support than an actual toplaner. but ofcourse, ist easier to just nerf soraka and leave some toplaners op while all others are dogshit =)

This is basically a revert to where she once was. Not too too long ago, they over buffed the self heal on her q.
