Is it me or does it seem like the impact on a solo que game isn't very much?

I remember in season 4 you could solo carry. Now it feels like if one lane loses it's soooo hard to win even if you did very well. I've had a few games where I did well and yet my team couldn't just play safe and play around me being fed. 5 Days ago I was in my series for Plat 1 at a 51% WR, now I'm going back n forth between Plat 4 and Plat 3. I feel like it's either you win because you're able to play around your team being fed OR you get fed and your team is also good.

Haven't really played much rank last 2 seasons, although I've always won by focusing on my team as opposed to solo carrying for seasons 1 through 5. Got to High plat that way before I stopped and decayed a bit.

If you are bouncing back and forth, you're probably where you should be. I can understand how you feel that way, but I've noticed that a lot when people are of equal skill and meta knowledge on how League should be. I've never been plat, but I can only imagine that plats are way better at pushing advantages than Silvers. However, if teams are equal, it would make sense if one team gets a lead that things'll go their way.

There is a huge difference between the way people play in Plat 5-4 and Plat 3+. Plat 5 and 4 are the hardest things to get out of because as long as people don't demote they don't care if you win the game.

Eh, I dunno. Down here in silver (i.e. maybe it's different in your elo), I find there are two conditions under which I feel I have little agency:

  1. Both other lanes lose hard. In this case, there's just not much I can do. I can't snowball against two fed laners alone.
  2. The enemy jungler camps my lane, and my jungler responds by... AFK farming. Like, goodness, I don't necessarily expect you to save my lane (and in fact, that's often not even the right call), but at least go snowball some other lane in our favor or something.

That aside, most games (as support) seem to follow the pattern of 1) secure a lead bot lane, 2) get mobis, snowball mid, 3) success! The vast majority of games feel hugely contingent on my performance.

It's about 1/10, really.
