Ask yourself this : Would you say what you said in your past 20 games to someone at work? Would you be upset if someone else said those things to you? Were you trolling/throwing/the actual reason your team lost? Did you actually work with your team or were you just harassing them? Have you said any racial slurs/sexist terms?

Most people will blame their teammates in a heartbeat. I know there are trolls, afks, feeders. There is that one guy no matter what rank you are. I'm not saying you can't be mad. I get mad too. But I don't get mad the the point where I say shit like "you fking ni*** fking jews". And I've noticed the majority of people who have gotten banned have said things like that multiple times.

You're right! The only permanent bans that get reversed are the ones for suspicious activity on one's account. Riot will lock the account until the owner contacts Riot and proves that it is in fact the owner.

I'm pretty sure it was the Kled Support, Renekton Crit ADC and Ezreal Support that cost me my last few games, not ADC Vayne.

We had a Galio who wanted to pick 1v5 fights. How do you work with that as an ADC in an assassin meta? How about in a game earlier today where the team chose to follow the 12-13 Fizz who had 1/3rd my CS over the 24-8 Vayne?

False; people (i.e. emotionally immature and socially unaware ones) need to have more humility, acceptance, understanding and less anger, disdain, pride, ego.

Too often, these buzzwords like "SJW", "Entitled" "Snowflake" are thrown around in a derogatory manner to belittle and diminish the real issues at hand, which in the case of toxicity in league is a severe lack of empathy as a whole, due to an overall lack of emotional maturity.

We're no longer in an age where humanity as a species is intellectually or socially stunted; we've grown out of the barbaric past (for the most part, there's a lot more work to be done though). There's never any excuse to be rude, hateful, egotistical, etc to others; you wouldn't appreciate someone calling a family member names or demeaning them, so don't do it to others.

Fact is people have gotten thin skinned. And Riot has catered to that. That's why toxicity hasn't been reduced. Passive-aggressiveness being a report option, for instance.

Yes, the next time someone does something "passive-aggressive" to you in real life, by all means, lash out at them. Throw a fit. Or, by all means, report them to the police.

See what happens.

Regardless of whether or not they are punished, people are thin skinned.

I'm not arguing for whether or not the ban was valid, which is what you think I'm doing.

People are thin skinned, and catering to that will create more problems. It's Riot's game, and they are doing that. People are getting used to it, and have become entitled.

It's a bad decision, but it's not mine to make.

There is a huge difference between someone who says "You need to play safe, why aren't you going defensive." And someone who is saying "This guy should have been aborted the second his mother knew she was gonna have a baby." It has nothing to do with having skin. I've gotten into fights with people IRL and the difference is that someone is attacking me personally. If you haven't noticed the majority of people who are permabanned say shit that is waaay over the top. If you're mad about someone's plays then talk about the plays. And racism is still very prominent considering most people would like to think it isn't. Riot hasn't catered to anyone. They'd like people to be able to play League of Legends without being basically bullied. I was playing on my smurf the other day and I couldn't believe that one smurf kept getting mad at a guy who was OBVIOUSLY new (this was in normals...)

Permabans should be reserved for super personal attacks, racism and homophobia, but the more neutral things still can get people perma'd, especially if it's consistent. Key word is can, when they should have no chance to get perma'd for it.

That behavior shouldn't warrant a two-week ban, either.

Since, based on what Riot has done in the past, two-week and perma bans are the most extreme punishments, which prevent you from getting things like rewards for events or whatnot.

Constant edginess, pessimism, passive-aggressiveness, being talkative, annoying, or negative attitude shouldn't warrant permas or two-weeks ban.

A chat restriction, at most is the best way to punish them. Most of the people that end up getting punished for these things talk a lot, so the chat restriction fits nicely.
