[SUGGESTION] ZZ'Rot active should scale with gametime

Well, the title about sums it up.

Let's face it, the ZZ'Rot portals active is not the best in game skill. I would wager 50% of the players don't even know this item exists, and it's about 15% who have ever bought it. The stats are nice enough, but the active...

So, this item is what I almost always get with Soraka, rarely on Rammus. And it's fine, shouldn't be overpowered. But when do you actively use this? I can imagine 2 scenarios:

  • at a siege
  • at defending from superminions (so oyu don't have to be there)

The problem what I encountered is: The item is only powerful when you get it veeeery early on. No build has (or should have) this item in it's core, let alone among the first item. Which means you won't be getting it til maybe around 25-30 mins in. By that time, your voidspawns are maybe on par with minions, but a few minutes later, they become utterly useless again.

So it's effective usefulness is like a 10 minute window.

This would be solved if it would scale off time elapsed, and not from base armor and mr. Or maybe a bit of both?

The Portal was something I remember seeing and going "Oh, that's really cool! I can split-push without split pushing! That sounds awesome." And then it came out and I went "Wait, what? These Voidlings die like 5 seconds after I put them out there." I'm convinced the reason the item sucks is because, at some point during play testing some wise-ass kid built this on Yi and backdoored, taking no damage from towers because Voidlings actually mattered at this point in testing, and Riot decided to make them worthless (that's probably not what happened, no matter how much I believe). What's wrong with the item For starters, the voidlings are so damn fragile. Im not asking for Malzahar minions (but that would be awesome) but why does their health decay...at all? No seriously, it makes no goddamn sense. Would they be too strong if they could theoretically last forever? My mind brings me back to Wise-Ass Yi Kid, who after accumulating 3 or 4 Voidlings is able to run straight over an entire row of towers. But as you said, compared to minions they just don't do enough and are completely obscured by them (except maybe the Boss Voidling as I call it) later in the game. They also spawn one at a time and are easily distracted from objectives by minions, or as the Voidlings apparently call them, 1v6 opportunities (gotta make Voidling momma proud!) How I would fix it I wonder if Wise-Ass Yi Player ruined this for everyone, but what if each Voidling scaled off your Armor and MR instead of just Boss Voidling? Just less, obviously (though Ive never seen even Boss Voidling do any real work).

tl;dr Yi probably fucked this item over.

Zz'rots current game state is actually very perfect and doesn't need buffs as it already bursts towers and pushes from incredible distances while providing a very cost/slot efficient item that gives 60 of each resistance with regen and MS late game its like nasus just q'd a tower
