About to fedora tip like hell on some bandwagons here
About keystones: We forgetting that the old masteries were basically forgotten after thoughts that hardly made a difference? The point of changing masteries was for the mastery system to actually matter. Yea, changing something that's been around for a while is going to shake things up really hard, but you don't move forward and progress if you stop moving because the road's bumpy.
About these GAWT DAYUMN TANKS AGAIN: Why is it that this circle of bitching never ends? It's the same cycle every time. Tanks are "super weak and melt in 2 seconds of 5-man focus fire". Tanks get champ and/or item buffs. Tanks get bloody oppressive. Everyone bitches about tank champs/items. Tank champs and/or items get nerfed. "Tanks are super weak and melt in 2 seconds of 5-man focus fire". Well, the bad news is that, honestly, that's how LoL team fights go. Even if you're a tank, you shouldn't expect to wade through 5 dudes blasting every cd on you. You're PROBABLY gonna die relatively quickly unless you're fed beyond recognition. Yea, you soak damage. No, that doesn't mean you get to survive for 20 seconds of soaking damage. Not without good backup.
Now, do I agree that they need better tank keystones? I do, because Bond of Stone is pretty bad. If you think of it properly, for every 100 damage someone else takes, you reduce a measly, like, 6 off the top. That's still a whopping 94 damage...so what is the point of this shitty mastery? Strength of the Ages is like...2 Ruby Crystals when fully stacked. Yea, that synergizes with Cinderhulk...but that's it. Other masteries get repeated uses, so their total value in a match increases as you use them. Meanwhile Strength of the Ages is, once again, 2 damn Ruby Crystals. Grasp is aight, but that's the only one that is, and that's basically a tank/damage hybrid keystone for juggernauts. Do I think keystones were a mistake? No, because the old masteries were even worse in the sense that they were significantly closer to useless than these masteries, and if that's the case, why were they in the game?
