Zhonias? Play around them? The whole point of assasins is to kill squishy targets. Mages tend to be squishy targets, and with the recent Zed nerfs, he does this less well. Plus considering one item can basically negate a huge chunk of his damage, he isn't all that bad anymore. I don't main AP mids much, but it's Just one of those match ups where you're at a disadvantage, and you have to be creative in finding a way around it.

I typically just take the following and beat them in lane:

Runes: 2 AP Quints and 1 Scaling CDR Quint, Magic or Hybrid Pen Marks, Scaling Armor Seals, Scaling CDR Glyphs Summoners: ( summoner 3 or summoner 21 ) summoner 4 Items: item 1056 item 3191 -> Normal Build

I rarely even bother finishing Zhonya's Hourglass until after I've finished two or three other items. I don't really need the active; I just want Seeker's Armguard for the armor it provides.

After doing that, I don't really have any issues with them.

summoner 21 also works well, but the Zhonya's CD is getting nerfed, and the item 3191 doesn't do very much. Assassin's aren't even meant for mid. [zombie-brand-facepalm] I once saw an Anivia take summoner 3 against Zed and, well, rekt him, so is a pretty good choice against AD midlaners.

Whoops, I put up the wrong summoner icon. I actually meant to include Barrier.

I don't really care about the Zhonya's CD nerf. I only really use it for teamfights later in the game (since I never really bother finishing it until I have a couple other items completed).

Honestly, if I put myself into a position where Zed can ult me without Zhonya's Hourglass' active late-game, I probably messed up somewhere beforehand.

I'm not really mad about the CD nerf; it's the AP nerf that really bothers me. I'm just glad they're increasing the AP on item 3165 to 100.

Another solution is to play Karma and just heal + CC the shadows out of Zed .

Yasuo is actually easy to beat in lane, even a good Yasuo can struggle in lane, it's about knowing how to keep your distance and when to trade against him.

it also doesn't help that he is gank fodder in lane.
