Season 5 Jungle from Jungle Main Perspective

These are just my opinions and a lot of people have been wondering what Jungle mains thought of the new changes. I'd also like to note that I was a Support Main for my first months of the game before Jungle but I also play Sona and Leblanc in Mid Lane and Caitlyn and Ashe in ADC often.

So a lot of people have been talking about the Jungle changes and the current Junglers. What needs to be changed and what needs to be kept. I've been a Jungle main for a while now, taking a break in the middle of it for Top/Mid lanes but I still love Jungle.

My first Jungler that I actually enjoyed was Warwick back when all you had to do was R an enemy to get a free kill. Now I play a lot of Poppy Fiora Fiddlesticks Shaco (AP Shaco not AD) and I hope eventually to try Shyvana and Sejuani Jungle soon. I have not and will NOT play Junglers such as LeeSin and Nidalee .

At the moment the Jungle isn't that bad itself. It's sort of boring clearing camps since it's just you spamming your abilities on monsters and then walking by the Raptor Camp every time thinking to yourself, so should I suffer a near death experience or should I gank my lane...

The big problem with the Jungle is the current champions picked in it. Nidalee is the biggest example of what I will say. I remember pretty much every game against Nidalee, she will ward your camps and then as you go to take them during any part of the game, she just throws a spear and takes it or she hops over and takes it. It happens so fast and you usually don't even realise that she is attacking you, but it doesn't matter because you're dead anyways unless you have flash and go over the walls, but Nidalee has a hop on a few second cooldown anyways.

Some Junglers are just too powerful in the Jungle and just in general. I stopped playing ADC and Support because of Nidalee who will kill you in a few spears without even being near you, or Xerath who just stands behind his ADC and pokes you until you back or die. It's sort of every game thinking "Hmm, will this be Katarina support where she pentakills our team late game or will this be Vel'Koz support where he carries the enemy team..." but that's not like the Jungle, it's pretty much thinking. "Ok so am I getting Lee Sin, Vi, Jarvan, Rek'Sai, or Nidalee to fight against. If it's any other champion besides Shaco I'll just counterjungle and kill them.".

So this all seems like rambling but together I'm trying to point out that there is NO JUNGLE DIVERSITY. And the few champions that ARE in the meta are NOT fun to play against and WILL kill you if they know what they're doing. (Unless you're playing a powerful 1v1 champion like Fiora but even then...). There needs to be more Jungling diversity. I am playing core Junglers that were very common to be seen before, and I can't even remember the last time I saw Shyvana Jungling. Every time I see a Shyvana It's in top lane. Riot is forcing Junglers to change their roles because they;

-Can't gank -Can't clear fast enough -Can't defend/attack against other Junglers or Invades properly -Can't match with the power of the current Junglers.

The whole concept of Jungling is fine in my opinion, I haven't really noticed smite changes since all I've been playing was Poppy but as soon as I played Fiddlesticks without ult'ing on top of my enemies, yeah it was quite annoying trying to smite the enemy. But clearing camps isn't that bad, there's just not a lot of champions who are clearing camps and the ones who commonly do this, go beyond what any other previously common Junglers could do and carry the game.

Another thing is that there is not item diversity. Why choose a smite that can only be used on camps when you can slow the enemy or deal extra damage to them? I love the second backup smite and I love the new items for it, but there isn't much diversity to items on top of no diversity to champions.

These are just my opinions on the new Jungle as I have been hearing people talk about it a lot and many wanting the opinions of people who play the Jungle very often.
