I don't understand why people consider Miss Fortune unviable or a trash-tier-ADC. She's been long considered one of the worst ADCs in the game after her nerfs a few years ago when she used to be considered one of the best ADCs if not the best and she was even hilariously overpowered on her release. After a small buff to her ultimate, she has some of the most impressive stats for all ADCs.

After recent buffs, which only effected the AD ratio on Miss Fortune's ultimate:

  • She has one of the highest win rates in the game (52.31%)
  • She has one of the highest damage outputs in the game (24,963)
  • She has one of the highest pentakill averages (15th - 30th/all champs)

This isn't because ONLY Miss Fortune mains play her, she has a fair pick rate (5.49%)

I'm very curious as to why I constantly hear people call out Miss Fortune for being "unviable", "trash-tier", "useless", etc. I never really understood why as the moment I started playing Miss Fortune I always just assumed she was balanced and a good pick.

She wasnt even bad before the buff that actually gave her a second scaling on her ult ( she already did scale indirectly with her w on her ult!). She is not trash tier, sleeper op after adding of such a big scaling, people find out soon anyway. Its just a " meh people say she suckz so she suckz!!" bronze thing. People also thought the rework on lucian made him trash tier till some pro showed how broken his new e was, this community is really really slow with accepting new strong champions by themself, the pros have to show what they have to pick.

Because people don't quite appreciate the amount of mixed damage she can output. And use her ult in all the wrong situations.

short range (ignoring ult), lacks dashes, no reset mechanic, no significant source of damage amplification (tristana E, lucian passive, vayne W, kallista E, etc.)

All I know is if I see her in lane I'm going to have a bad time; Double Up hurts. Miss Fortune / Sona bot, oh god, the harass.

People always assumed MF sucks cause she doesn't really do anything compared to other adc's. She is just strong without much for gimmicks or flash.

People may gave started playing her more recently, but she's always been good

it´s simple - she requires an aggressive player that actually knows how to position in teamfights to really wreck. Most players are neither aggressive nor good at positioning.

Generally I would keep up the MF hate to discourage her from being picked. A champion that brings ONLY damage to a team is a liability, imo. If you fall behind with one of these champs (Katarina, MF, Zed, Draven) then you are just a dead member on the team.

Better to encourage utility ADCs like Ashe or Sivir so you know even if they suck they can still help the team.

she requires a lockdown team to get the full duration of her ult most of the time she doesn't bring much other then pure dmg and a slow if you look at some adcs that are meta right now either they have -a better overall mid/late game like Corki /Tristana -bring more utility like Sivir and Kalista

She has the same weakness as always no mobility her damnage output isn't that Great low range shes like every other mid game adc either you snowball outta controll or you just become useless late game her ult was always a great aoe and I think her ult changes makes her ult really strong but it doesn't change the really clear weakness she has shes kinda like a mix between an ad caster and a ad that primarily uses AAs

Played with a MF today that got 3 Penta kills in the same game, all with ult of course. This could become problematic, but it was to my benefit so I am ok with it for now. ;p

her ult actually does damage now, it has an AD ratio for her to scale into the game with it, a champion with a massive AOE long range damage spell is gonna have impressive statistics since AOE is king in this game

good things about MF: early lane bully, can ignore boots without too much penalty early-mid, solid mix of phys + magic damage, good matchups early-mid against basically every adc, despite all the hate it gets a well placed ult completely shreds enemies (moreso now after the buff), very high base stats (tankiest ADC next to Graves w/ passive)

bad things: if she gets behind other adc's scale better, lack of dash/teleport escape, her E is crap

Honestly she's my favorite ADC to use if I end up in that role.

Because people are idiots. I've told them. I HAVE TOLD YOU ALL FOR SO LONG that MF was good. AND I KNEW when she got her buff this would happen. >_> People just bandwagon (like with the Cass thing) instead of having a mind of there own on these forums. So they become idiots. Just how it is.

The only problem I've ever seen with Mf was that she does mix damage, but so do some other ADC's like Corki and Ezreal and they're even played in the LCS. Idk why people don't like her.

Well I'm not sure about before (she was kind of outshined by a few ADC's), but I definitely don't hear that anymore.

The main joke about her was that her ult did no damage late-game. And now that's changed.

Just like every other ADC with no escapes: Very, very easy to dive and kill.

MF is much like Ashe, she's very easy to dive and obliterate if a team isn't built around her.

8% is supposedly average pickrate until Kindred comes out and screws up the math. Anything under 8% can't really be considered a fair pick rate

Eh. MF was never really bad. However, her ult needed this buff. It wasn't worth using late game, and this helps her team fight a lot better, since she is frail without an escape. However her damage has always been really high. Her autos feel more damaging than most adcs.

Have you seen the MagikarpUsedFly's video? He pretty much said "She's pretty strong except for this one thing, and this is why everyone thinks she's trash.

And then he goes on about how it's one of the worst ults in the game and that you should never use it unless they cannot feasibly touch you, and even then, your AAs do more damage.

FWIW, she's one of my 3 favorite ADCs. I think that ult buff she just got was all she needed.

I think her only "issue" is that she's an early game bully and not one of those late game hypercarries that some people love. I think we don't want every adc to be a hypercarry. The only other two knocks against her is that she does a bit of magic damage but can't built mpen and she doesn't scale with crits, just AD and AS.

Cuz "boards knows balance" lel.

I'm a moderate on MF at the moment. Is she bad? In a way, yes. Is she as bad as the boards make her out to be? Not even close.

Did the buffs help? For me, yes, because I built MF with raw damage, stacking as much AD as possible, so now my ult does just insane damage. However, it still doesn't solve her core issues. Both of her passives are still afterthoughts, and she still lacks a specific niche. These things I think will be solved (hopefully) by preseason 6.
