When are the 4 armor pen item adc builds getting gutted?

its been months now. how long do we have to wait to get rid of this bullshit. its not just the assassin items. its how armor pen stacks. no adc should be buying and should actually have any sort of dps other than damaging abilities

bring back the old 30 ad 500 hp black cleaver. remove lord dominks and get us back the old lw. or remove the damage amp on the 500 hp threshold. make ghostblade and duskblade. melee only.

no ADC should build item 3036 ? it has a passive that stacks damage as you have less hp item 3142 has an active that increases AS as MS (a stat most ADCs have a problem with)

Yea but I wouldn't mind a Jhin not having item 3147 on his 4th shot.

Or a Miss Fortune not having item 3071 Ulti's

Getting rid of just those two items for ADCs would be the nerf they need to take them down...

ADCs Need Youmuu's That is one item in this meta you can't take away from them...

Twitch is a big example of an ADC that Starts item 3142

A typical twitch build looks like...

item 3142 item 3006 item 3085 item 3031 item 3153 item 3035

That's a pretty solid ADC looking build..

In the end I agree with your comment... however in regards to the OP, I would like 2 of the 4 items.. taken away from ADCs...

And with item 3142 the champions now will still be strong early game. but come late game they'll have to rely more on crit builds than more armor pen.

That build doesn't work on Draven

It works on Lucian because of his passive and his kit is pseudo-caster-esque and he's able to stack BC really quickly

It works on Jhin because of his passive crit and ult

It works on MF because she presses R

It doesn't work on Draven because Draven needs crit and AS.

The armor pen build isn't even good right now, the AS/Crit build is starting to become the stronger build again.

These Items allow the ADC to actually be useful instead of being instantly shut down from someone building Armor and Health.

Ok,

Lucian is a caster ADC, so saying he should have DPS other than damaging abilities is unfair since that's his thing.

MissFortune was always good with item 3071 cause of her ult and generally you don't build DPS on her cause her ult is her thing.

Draven is either going to almost 1 shot a squishy because of armor pen or the 800+ crit he gets with the help of his Q. Nothing really changed in his damage output from armor pen from what I've seen.

Jhin is a bit tougher since he's newer, but the only big difference I've noticed is with armor pen he spends more times flashing in to get that last auto instead of ulting to kill you, and either way it still does the same 1200 damage.

Now, I completely agree that it's insane that getting hit by an MF Q bounce, losing half your health, and then having the duskblade pop take you down to near death is completely broken. However, there are some ADCs that use some of those items that would be hurt without them. MF with BC, Twitch and Quinn with ghostblade, most ADCs with Lord Dominink's. I personally find the ADCs build path to be rather sad since you almost always buy the same items in every game without little change. At least the armor pen meta brought out some different paths even if the items were being used for not their initial purpose.

I think Duskblade could go with being Melee only, the passive at least. Otherwise I agree entirely. Lord Dominiks was originally made as an ADC item anyways, so I don't understand his sudden concern with it. The item has been around since 5.23 or something.

Seriously, can we not make item 3147 item 3142 melee only? There are a few ranged champions who actually need these because of their assassin style play. Jayce (granted to a lesser extent because of melee form) Quinn Twitch Varus (his midlane tear build) all build one or both of these items with justifiable. This will just be a big nerf to them, whereas the abuse cases go back to their standard build paths without a problem.

I don't ever see quinn twitch and varus building dustblade tho, even jayce it is very rare.

I always see Quinns building it. Twitch doesn't, but he builds Ghostblade, the other two build it if they start snowballing, which is why most people build Duskblade for anyway.
