how comes vayne has a good early game?

i'm on any side, i don't play adc and i see frequently a thread talking about vayne's early game power. A lot of people on Boards is saying that vayne isn't weak in early game.

can someone explain it to me?

No Range No Wave Clear No AoE Damage No Steroid (her Q doesnt really count)

She has NOTHING in the early game. There is no reason for her to ever win a fight against another ADC pre 6 without a great support or jungle gank, or a really good wall condemn.

hmm, no steroid? her Q does count and her W is like a steroid since your third AA does more damage

Q isn't a steroid. A steroid enhances autoattacking directly by boosting autoattack DPS in some way. Her Q may activate through an autoattack, but that doesn't make it a steroid. It's just a damaging ability. The W is a steroid though, and should be recognized as such.

ADC to ADC, Vayne never has a reason to win. She loses pretty much every matchup before 6, because she doesn't have a lot of attack speed or damage yet. If you feed Vayne a kill early, it's because she is better than you.

It is an explanation, there isnt really much else behind it. Use your brain? Low attack range ,low base stats, needs items.

low attack range? 550 same as any top pick of the moment kalista? 550 kow maw in lane won't use his W often and has 500 base range corki-550 only jinx with Q at lvl 1 has 600 range

low base stats? base AD is 50 jinx-50 corki-48 kalista-57 but with her passive she has 57*0.9=52.3 kog maw has 46 base ad

only her base armor is low

He's being an asshat, but he is right that Vayne has low range.

It's not that her base attack range is shorter than average; rather, she suffers from having no abilities that exceed that range. Look at every other Marksman in the game. Every single one of them has at least one spell with a significant range advantage over their basic attacks, giving them much more skirmishing strength than Vayne. Vayne is literally incapable of harass; she's either going in or getting out of the fight.

Even when you account for Tumble, Vayne's maximum engagement range is shorter than any other Marksman's harass spells.

So, Vayne does technically have damage early game, but she has to take a lot of risks to apply it and she has no mechanisms to deal with being behind. She has standard ranged autoattacks and no ranged abilities, so if you get even a small advantage over her it becomes easy to bully her away from minions. Almost every other ADC has some ability with a longer range than their autoattacks (except Twitch and Trist, but she has goodwaveclear and her auto and ability ranges increase as the game goes on), usually one they can farm with. This also means that she can't cope with short bursty trades or long-ranged harass.

She can win an all-in from level 3 on, but preventing her from getting one is usually pretty easy early on, and any punishment she takes can make it hell for her to lane or farm. That is a huge weakness that can be exploited.

My explanation is the BotRK rush. She get's life steam right away while most ADC's need build towards IE. This means she will win an extended trade, Leaving you the only option of trying to all in her.

Something I noticed about Low ELO. Most vaynes will constantly push you into your tower. A Smart team will camp her, punishing her for being that close to her tower. But if you don't get any help, you really have no option but to try and counter push. (try doing that as a mana hungry Ez or Corki)
