What if Mage abilities could crit?

ADCs can build to get random bursts of damage while keeping their sustained damage, why can't mages get burstier bursts? _

Because Riot (and a lot of the community) wants less RNG in the game. Beyond Crit damage, we don't have as much RNG as we used to. At the moment, no one really knows how to remove critical hits from the game and make it work well.

Crit is an incredibly stupid mechanic that is impossible to balance.

Right now Riot chose to make it easy-ish to get 100% on champions that want crit which makes the issue less glaring, and this allowed the ADC update and gave them more room to maneuver.

Crit is STILL not balanced for early game (getting 2-3 lucky crits in a row can decide an early skirmish) but since most crit champs are played botlane as ADCS at least the fact they have a support closeby make it less of an issue.

Adding MORE crit into the game is a terrible idea.

...this is one of the worst ideas i've heard in a while... mages themselves are not even weak, it's the items that make them less favorable. tell me, do you REALLY want a leblanc LITERALLY being able to do like 3000+ damage with JUST q and r?
