In low elo ranked (I'm gold V), if one person feeds at all, the game is honestly gg, because that jayce, quinn, pantheon, leblanc, twitch, mf, rengar, graves, kha etc. is going to start one-shotting everyone, even the people that are supposed to tank. I don't hate the meta we are in but climbing is nigh impossible unless you get a decent team.

My Remedy2 votesConsidering that I've shifted from being a mid and adc main to playing pretty much exclusively top and jung in s7 alone....that doesn't hold much weight. When rengar, quinn, panth get banned in every game for their insane map presence and burst...if they get fed it is pretty much gg. Been playing this game since s2 and only riot is to blame for the state of the game and lack of diversity this game has. They consistently ruin off meta playstyles while allowing a select few as long as it looks nice in the lcs.
Edit: also wanted to note im referencing solo queue, not lcs where everyone is able to communicate and coordinate very well, allowing some tankier, team-oriented picks to flourish

My Remedy1 votesedge of night is a free spellshield that negates the first cc they will try to use on quinn the issue is the snowball potential of champs like quinn and pantheon, but unlike old katarina, they dont have to focus nearly as much as positioning. their kits are also designed to shut down lane opponents...katarina's is not
i'm always the one picking the tanky champ on my team since so many people have a carry mindset, and i climbed from silv 4 to gold 5 in literally 2 days to get my free skin
if everything in this game was so set in stone as you believe it to be, then why are quinn and pnath god tier tops? the answer is that they shut down competition in top fairly easily and can use their mobility and burst to keep themselves fed and propel their teammates forward

Being the "god tier" character doesn't mean you're the best choice for the team. and guess what, first lulu kills your spell shield with her pix bomb, then she squirrels you. Boom.

none of the pick rates of champions you list are anywhere near the pick rates of the god tiers so these instances dont happen as much. if edge of night was so useless as you make it see to be, then every single lethality user wouldnt build it as core
