There is no decent amount of time to communicate with your team. I've never had my champion banned from me so much since this system has been put into place. I'm not complaining about yasuo being banned from me. Around 1/3 of my champ selects when I'm not trying to yasuo have been me getting my champ banned. I love this new system in theory, but I hate the way people are using it.
It gives you like 20 seconds to show your pick intent and chat
Riot literally designed Pick Intent to prevent this very problem. It's your fault if you aren't using it.
I like how fast the ban system is. I only wish we could keep the slows without duplicate bans.
Personally. I don't ban Yasuo. I play champs with know-ups and can shut down enemy Yas'. But I do ban Vayne. Always. Yes, even when she gets hovered. As a tank main I have had far too many games where I couldn't even exist near a Vayne. And I am not chancing the enemy getting her. Also, not in the mood to 4v5 teamfight till 40 minutes because Vayne is splitpushing a sidelane without shiv or hurricane and taking forever in a very visable and counterable way. So even banning her when my team-mate is first pick while hovering her. Especially now that the champ select map is bugged and you might be blue when expecting red and vice versa. So she might not even turn out to be first pick.
