It deals damage and only damage. It can only be recast if Darius kills the target with the ability itself.
kassadin's ult is a mobility spell that can be used to: Dodge a skillshot Disengage initiate a fight intercept a skillshot
It can be recast provided kass has the mana pool remaining to do so.
Keep in mind that his W does replenish mana, and with the mana cost reductions, it is actually possible to rift walk>W the enemy champion>riftwalk>W the enemy champion.
The highest cost per riftwalk now is 800. W restores 20% of his maximum mana when used against a champion (scaling up to 40% max mana at rank 5), meaning you'd need a maximum mana pool of 4000, (or 2000 if you've leveled W up) to stick infinitely to a target.
And that target cannot simply just "flash away" because you have potentially infinite flashes to stick to them.
That being said, Darius ultimate and kassadin ultimates are completely different spells, and the justifications for the ult changes are probably for similar reasons as to why Shen, Kayle and Zed don't have any costs to their ultimates beyond cooldown restrictions.

Eh, touche, I felt a bit miffed especially since kass got nerfed a bit harshly (I don't play him, but... gotta feel for him).
I just don't think it's a good idea, nonetheless. Spamming an true damage ultimate with no cost during a teamfight could be a bit unbalanced (I mean, he has to kill, but still...). He should at least be capable of running out of mana in a teamfight. Vi can't ult if she has no mana (rarely happens, but still). I mean, I thought they were trying to standardize mana costs of ultimates lately, with Sona as the latest example.

I know he's your husbando and everything, but learn to take a joke. I'm not complaining about him being OP, I'm noting that he isn't particularly valuable in teamfights and his playstyle requires him to steal kill gold from carries to be effective.

Most toxic? Do you even fucking play league of legends? His ult is just a instant true damage ult that needs him to AA you or use his Q to stack damage. It is like irelia W , but more damage , less dps, and no sustain

There is a lot of toxic ultimates, and Darius one for sure is not one of them. Yasuo , Riven and some other have more toxic ultimates for sure.

While his ult is a little problematic since it, and here are my problems with Yasuo's ultimate, makes him untargetable /and/ gives him bonus armour pen for some weird frigging reason, but it is not 'toxic', at least nowhere close to the extent of Darius'. (wtf is the problem with Riven's? It has a damage cap and, you know, armour works. It's not toxic at all. Strong yes, but strong isn't 'toxic'.)

No innate tankiness, sustain , doesn't scale well He is not irelia man.
PrinceArchie1 votesHe can build tanky, he is innately strong so you only need one damage item (similar to Irelia ironically). The items he can build for tank or damage he can also build for sustain (Warmogs, Hydra) and he doesnt have to be a late game hy[er carry to be a team fighting monster with this change. It's all dependent on the comp, and if the entire other team is low enough he now has the legitimate ability to execute them all one by one which is huge.
