But what makes it even WORSE, is when you get demoted thanks to a** fucking team who plays a NON META KILL BOT LANE. ** So fucking infuriating.

Having to go against a FULL AD Sion, AP on hit Teemo support in a bot lane. WIth the rest of their team having a Yasuo, Ornn, and Garen, while it's just you as Nami, Jinx as ADC, Malz mid, Yi jungle and Swain top.

So fucking not fair. WHY DO YOU GUYS DO THIS? You ruin people's games by playing non meta and completely screwing the match around because you want to have "fun."

FUN, is for NORMALS. Or better yet, BOTS. Not fucking ranked. Get that shit out of there and play the game on EVEN TERMS. Because you all doing that, is **downright cheating and makes the game unfair. People lose LP and get demoted thanks to your stupid shit. ** For the love of all things holy, play the game right and stop ruining it for others.

Normally people complain about demotions due to off-meta because it's their teammates doing it, and theres a reason it's not meta.

If something "off-meta" works better than "meta", then the "off-meta" people are actually doing the meta thing, since meta is supposed to be what works best.

Of course, off-meta things such as what you described are off-meta because they kinda need to snowball, so it's probably on you for not respecting it appropriately. It's definitely not cheating to play off-meta, it's just generally a bad idea.

Wanna pop in here with my Advisor hat on for a couple of reasons.

A) To address the post's claim: it's not true that what they are doing is cheating or wrong, according to Riot. Off-meta is allowed as long as you are following the Summoner's Code and trying to win. Full stop.

B) Lot of pretty borderline comments in here; please be civil everyone! If things continue like this in this sort of thread, we'll lock it to prevent further downward spiraling. Please keep comments focused on the topic at hand and avoid insulting each other. We want to foster discussion about the game; attacking each other's character, elo, anime preferences, etc. are not permitted. Please avoid that.

I actually know. I've had to do promos at least 3-5 times in some divisions during my gold grind.

Shit sucks but honestly the best advice I can only give is to persevere and try again next time.

Sometimes you get outplayed by a crafty team going 'off meta', I know it sucks...but if you don't know how to play defensively or figure out how to make the other side spam mana till they're living on fumes...there's not much chance for you.

Your best weapon is your mind.

Be crafty. But don't rush in. take your time and let them come to you.
