steraks gage too underwhelming atm

steraks gage efficiency changes from champs to champs. but even at best case scenario. level 18 morde. its about 88% efficient due to the base ad scaling increase. put in mind. this is level 18 morde. highest base ad in the game. its going to be ALOT less worthwhole on any other champion at any point of the game before level 18. for the most part is going to be about 60-70% stat efficient on most champions as they buy it. I understand that there is a strength in its passive. but look at maw of malmortious. even after the nerfs. the item is about 95% stat efficient without its passive. I don't see anyone buying steraks anymore hell not even ad carries that used to abuse it. I think ad carries that used to abuse it also did because of maws. now they both have the same passive. I feel like steraks need to be buffed back.

it needs to be melee only as it should have been from the start and then revert the nerfs they gave the item

yeah the cool thing gnar will still be able to buy it since hes both melee and ranged. i think this is very viable option to go with

have you ever tried it on gnar?

i get why it would be good on gnar. his base ad goes up when he goes mega and that adds ad to its passive. but thats too situational and i'd rather go for frozen mallet for consistent stats.

understood thanks for the reply

well, they could alternatively buff jugg base ad scalings a bit to make the item more effective on them. pretty much all of them, including nasus could generally use a slight buff.

the best part is, that instead of buffing a large group of champions by buffing the item, they could buff its synergy with a handful of champions individually.

on other fighters, it has a decent synergy with item 3057 items, which makes it more efficient for them even with slightly lower base ad.

currently all juggernauts have high base ad. compared to other champions. they range between 120-146. bruisers are around 110-120. tanks go from 100-130 . and the rest is mix and match from under there. I feel like jumping the base ad on juggernauts and bruisers by idk 5-10 would be great. I mean nobody is playing juggernauts or bruisers in pro play at all says something. i mean they do exploit the best things in the game and that means that both of these classes are really weak at the moment.

or they could just make the passive scale with bonus health instead of total. but then again it might make it a tank item instead of a bruiser juggernaut item. so buffing the champions that use it might be the way to go but am not sure.

the good thing about approaching this kind of buff is, that youd buff a very specific group of champions and could tune them individually, while essentially buffing steraks for them.

while if youd put 100 health back on steraks, youd probably buff fighters who like to buy the item, but youd also buff the item for graves.

thats why the item was designed with base ad scaling in the first place.

this would be the ideal scenario, but for some reason riot has been stubborn with that kind of change.

some people argue Jayce and Gnar exist and they want to buy the item. but id argue, that as long as these champs are in ranged form, they shouldnt have access to steraks shield for the same reason adc shouldnt have access to it.

it was designed as an item for melees who have to survive in the middle of the enemy team and eat a lot of burst damage to act.

while gnar and jayce are in ranged form, theyre not in the middle of the enemy team and simply dont need the shield. well, unless they fucked up and got caught out in ranged form, but then thats their mistake. while they would get the shield when they switch into melee. which seems entirely fair to me.

I like how they killed this item for Tanks just because Graves is OP
