I'm going to say it. Pyke buff only rewards skilled players with good teams

Pyke still needs to kill specifically with his R for all this chunk of gold, and he can't get that if his team sucks that much, or if he sucks that much. This buff was aimed specifically to reward skilled players and good teamplay between pyke and his mates. He can't get kills with his R if one of two sides can't get the enemy low enough to execute.

To really feel the pyke buff you need to be decent at him, and more than that, have a decent team that plays with you and not against you. At the end of the day, Pyke is still a support, and his viability is colinear to his team's viability. If they suck too hard, fat chance you're getting anywhere on your own.

The problem is that it rewards it too much. To be fair though, you don't even need to be good to get it off one time early in the game and that already gives you a huge lead.

Supports are not unable to carry the games themselves. Especially pyke who excels at roaming, getting his team ahead before they manage to fall behind too much. Not to mention your argument could literally be used for every other role and champion. If your team sucks complete dick, you aren't going to win no matter what you play.

The gold reward should scale off rank or based on how many times you get resets. So maybe 300 rank 1, 400 rank 2, 500 rank 3 or 300 for the first kill, then a extra 100 per reset. Compared to the shitfire damage fest this meta is, this problem is easy to fix.

Not really. It gives him way too much gold just for doing what you were already doing with him.

They should've gone for adjusting his abilities to make him more support-like, not for giving him more gold so he can just get the items to overcome the massive nerfs to his Q and E.
