I hate how Lee Sin's kick has to have such a damn short cooldown for something so impactful

He's basically got the same thing going for him that Rumble did (until Rumble's last nerf): He's only thinking "Is my Dragon Kick ready? Good, I'll kick someone just for damage and to make people angry!"

Where is the decision-making on when to use that kick? There isn't any; he has it too often when he can easily get 40-45% CDR. Add on that damn mini-stun at the start of it, the fact that it does a ton of physical damage, and it's pretty broken.

But I'm sure I'm going to be shot at in real life for even entertaining the notion of a Lee Sin nerf. So fire away; I've been shot before.

kicking someone at the wrong time can:

  1. cause them to be vaulted to safety
  2. cause them to be vaulted towards someone who they can kill
  3. give them the positioning they need to initiate

i get that there's a "i hate lee sin" meme, but there's always going to be decision-making involved with a skill that displaces someone over a large distance

The philosophy seems to be that Lee Sin's damage and utility is gated by the fact that he can't get any of it on you unless he lands Q. In reality, most of the time I see Lee Sins just walk up to you for a point blank Q. You know what would really ensure he actually has to land his Q to be able to get on to his target? A Movement speed nerf.

I mean, he literally has 350 movement speed...

This. I still don't know why Riot allows him to have that much base MS. It's total bullshit and takes a lot of skill requirement out of him.
