Well bard has been out for a little

it wasnt long, he wasnt in a rotation yet but i think that many people managed to get some good games with him and we can get some feedback

so please share -how did he do ? -how did he build? -was he an asset ? -did he feel rewarding to play?

as i played him and saw him in my games i need to say he is fun, but kinda under the line when it comes to ballance -collecting chimes is not wery rewarding, you get behind in exp and your team loses a very important person

-he isnt realy a tank but at the same time he does little damage throughout the game with his medicore utility (his e and ult can suport both him and the enemy team, and well he isnt as loaded as thresh or nami, nor he has a direction in his kit like leona does) so either he isnt tnky enough or his scalings are too bad

-the chimes cap is unobtainable, its 150 chimes and in 1 hour long games where bards literaly left their teams just to pick up chimes they got around 100 of them , so in average game he might get maybe 70 chimes when not competing to the game

-also the out of combat speed buff is too short, its realy rare for his chimes to spawn close enough to stack that buff

-also the chimes should not be random, you said that they can spawn anywhere but will usualy spawn closer to him, this means that you can get literaly no chimes just because you are unlucky, bard is a roaming support but he wont roam top and those chimes are the core of his power since loads of damage and utility is gated by them

his kit is enjoyable

Bard is quite an unusual champion that will probably require some "getting used to". I would probably wait about a week before assessing whether he is a strong champion or not.

To be fair, you only need, what, 50 charms for Meeps to slow? That's probably all you need and anything on top of that is just a bonus.

thats 20% slow if i remember it increases to 40% then 60% then 70%

also the meep count, max is 4 and i think that its attainable with like 80 meeps

In my experience, both as him and as his teammate, Bard provides great mobility and gank support (since when he roams for chimes, you never know if he is coming back alone - depending on ward coverage and timings, of course). The main difficulty I have with him when I am him is that he is too squishy for a champ that is going to use his portal to gap close or flank the enemy. From the teammate perspective, the thing that I find needs the most time to adjust to is anticipating portal placement and using them to wall hop after years of walking around terrain.

Using his ultimate effectively is probably the most difficult thing about him, as it is easy to throw a teamfight with a mistimed or misplaced stasis (going for style point on one disastrously memorable occasion, I was near a Shen as he channeled his ult, and the enemy moved in to interrupt, so I threw the ult hoping to catch them just after Shen TPed away, but mistimed and caught him as well - fortunately he accepted my embarrassed apology). I have had the most success, so far, using it as a long range initiate similar to Leona's Solar Flare, or using it to interrupt point captures in Dominion long enough for member of my team to get there and contest.

Edit: Watching Aphromoo playing Bard on his stream showed me one more think I overlooked due to assuming it was my own inexperience with the champ: that his Cosmic Binding is too telegraphed and slow a projectile for being such a positional skill shot stun. It is similar in function to Vayne's Condemn and Poppy's Heroic Charge, except both are targeted abilities with quick cast and travel times I don't think Bard's q should be targeted as these other abilities are, but its similar positional nature requires, in my opinion, that it is a quicker and harder to dodge spell.
