@Meddler: If Alacrity was the main problem, why did you remove the other boot enchants?

Distortion, Furor and Captain were all fine and made things interesting while requiring certain mechanics, so why are they punished for Alacrity's crime?

After all, Captain boots on Janna were absolutely awesome, but not usable for offense without Janna getting raped (figuratively speaking, of course).

I think they finally accepted that the boot enchantments will always be a case were there is one that is favored 90% of the time which a majority of the people will take and they decided to quite trying to balance that by removing the enchantments altogether.
