I get the unspoken rule of "banning new champion" but first day release in normals is a bit much. Ranked is fully justified but the game mode designed to learn champions shouldn't have this problem.

In ranked, 100% ban on release day. You'd be an asshole for picking her anyways, just picking a new champion on day 1 will tilt your team.

In normals, if they're banning her, they're doing it to spite you. They are indeed scumbags. That's just the league playerbase for you.

Yea agreed there ranked, 100% if you aren't banning them in ranked you are doing something wrong although in an ideal world you would not ban them in ranked and hope the enemy team picks them to tilt their own team but not worth the risk lol.
