Why does Xayah's Q get gutted while Taliyah's remains unchanged?

Frontline Fury··1 votes·402 views

I'm talking about their ability to basic attack while casting their Q. Taliyah is already extremely oppressive against melee champions, so why is she allowed to synergize with lich's bane / red buff when Xayah isnt? It's the exact same problem, but different champions. Mage bias?

i think the problem was that xayah was able to get an instant stun off her q. Also any ranged champ with spamable abilities is extremely oppressive against melee champs not just xayah and taliyah

Yes, any ranged champion could be considered oppressive against melee champions. Its just that Taliyah can outdo most marksmen before they finish 6 items because unlike them, she can actually buy items that turn her into an offtank.

... no, it's because of the instant root, like he said.

Another thing to consider is that Xayah's autos are going to be much more powerful than Taliyah's in that combo.

Probably because Xayah can crit and do high damage with autos on top

I'm sorry, but I laughed SO HARD AT THIS, Taliyah needing more nerfs? Pfft, her Q was her main damage source vs. Xayah who had damage from everything

The majority of the league community mains mages. Any post saying anything but the highest praise for mages gets downvoted into oblivion.

You people will never be able to understand because you're too busy protecting your freelo.

I'm a Yorick main, I've just been playing Veigar to get myself outta elo hell (every time I'm about to reach promos I drop again), so whenever I'm stuck, I go Veigar since most in silver don't know how to effectively beat him,

Also Taliyah's Spells all cost more mana now thx to her nerf, now she can only cast 3-5 spells before being oom

I main everything, especially new champions :P

I play jungle, top, mid, support... and rarely adc.

Since I know all sides, this war between champion classes seems completely dumb from my perspective. I mean who is actually objectively judging the balance in this game except for the Riot balance team? Players complain about favouritism while they are the biggest " favouritists" themselves. It's complete madness.

You claim i am favourizing a champion class. Which one class did i mention in my post or any of my comments?

Did I really do that? I don't think so....lol

Alright then, the context in your previous comment made me think you were indirectly talking about me. I misunderstood you, my bad.

Taliyah can't auto during her Q, and never could. EDIT: it has been brought to my attention that yes, Taliyah can attack during her Q. My following point still stands, though.

(And even if she could, lich-bane is one improved auto that barely deals as much damage as a single normal auto from an ADC, and ADCs attack twice as fast, so your comparison still wouldn't hold. But no, she can't.)

Frontline Fury1 votes

She can. She can normally get off two auto attacks during her Q, but if she has attack speed runes that could be 3. Go to the practice tool and try it yourself.

Ive played taliyah three times and can confirm she autos during her q

DeathBurst1 votes

OK, my bad. But then my parenthesis still stands. An ADC autoing is much more frightening than a Mage autoing, even with Lichbane, so there is good reason to prevent an ADC from autoing while it doesn't matter as much for a Mage. Even more, it's usually a good idea to give incentives to Mages to get in auto range, because it makes the laning phase more interactive. Just look at a lot of traditional Mid Mages: Oriana has an empowered auto if she attacks multiple time the same target, Lux need to auto to proc her passive, Velkoz can maintain his passive by autoing, etc.

Because Xayah was able to get easy roots off with her E with little to no counterplay.
