@riot: Now urgot is iceboxed

Can't you test a concept like an dual auto kit?

  • Prenote: Urgot has a fixed attackspeed, getting attackspeed will give him an stat (not sure what stat it depends in what direction they want to go with him.)
  • Melee: He will hit with his fist. These auto attacks will shred enemies armor.
  • Range (automatic swiches when out melee range): These attacks work with an ammo system like Graves/Jhin. They will have an fixed attackspeed and will deal a hugh amount of damage. The attack range increase every hit up to 5 times.
  • Passive: This dual kit mechanic

This doesn't seem to add anything that isn't done by stance-swapping like Jayce/Nidalee/Elise aside from making movement really weird and probably being incredibly buggy when switching between forms.

Actualy with a delay between the transition it actualy can come off pretty smooth. Still it's a difficult mechanic to pull off if not code properly. It can be done it's no different than an action like poppy's passive.

So it automatically triggers some kind of animation when an enemy enters melee range? Does it interrupt in-progress auto attacks? that would feel pretty bad. If an enemy is in melee range he won't be able to make ranged attacks at other enemies?

Jup, the idea is that he will have 5 ammo to fire range attacks with. That's basicly graves with the option to auto attack with melee when he's out of ammo. What we also could do is give range priority even when in melee range but than the armor reduction mechanic wouldn't work if you try to combo it.

That sounds like it would feel absolutely awful. Just make it like Kayle E instead where you use an ability to make your autos ranged for a bit. It could still limit the number of ranged attacks that you get during the duration like ammo but it wouldn't feel so clunky when enemies move in and out of melee range.
