That yasuo thread

Knight SoIaire ··1 votes·233 views

From 6 months it sits amont the top upvoted threads with an astonishing 450 upvotes.

The main point of the op in that thread is that yasuo needs a major change, he calls it a rework but in the end he wants just some minor changes to his skills/ some cutting ... a fine tuning i would say becuase those changes are impactfull but not big enough to call them a rework.

He isnt offensive His post is well edited so its easy to read He makes good points, and explains his thoughtprocess

And no rioter even came to say "hello" ?

I think that his thread deserwes it, he pinpointed many of the problems about yasuo and the fact that riot escalates them instead of fixing them.

Interestingly enough, I searched Yasuo on the Gameplay and Balance board+Riot comments, and absolutely nothing came up. Just a thread on mobility creep and Champion Height/Weight proportions. Did his designer quit, or are they being forced to keep silent? Maybe they talked about Yasuo on Reddit?

lets leave that out of the thread if the discussion faces to be a little in the anti rioter direction, they just wont answer

I mean what I'm saying is, it's not just that thread, they don't seem to have talked about Yas at all.

The designer has no say in what champion UP and balance teams do to him now. Riot has been very open on how much designers have in say after a champion is released.

Yasou is a failed light fighter concept, certainly T admits that. Its a failure cause he is not an fighter only an assassin.

Meddler is the only person that i am aware of that even openly visits from the balance team. A couple of random rioters from champion UP team make commits only if they are going to work on a champion. You are expecting to much that a rioter is going to comment just cause it has 600+ votes, that is not why they respond to threads.

i dont think so, yasuo has the tools to be one, those tools adress his issues well

but riot's ballance decisions were aimed at pushing him more onto the assasin path than the fighter path

His constant dash ablity was supposed to be a high mobility re-positioning tool. He was supposed to get into the back lines and dodge skill shots. Players found a better way and just killed everything through burst.

but riot's ballance decisions were aimed at pushing him more onto the assassin path than the fighter path.

No players understood the better way to take his kit. Riot give players a tools set and said build what you will. We found that an assassin existed, not a fighter. Players said he was an assassin and then riot supported that identity we gave. The problem with the community having a say, it was not healthy.
