pick an utility mage ... deal loads of damage due to items and have good utility pick a mage focused on damage ... deal lost of damage and still have some good utility packed somewhere in there pick a tank ... deal much more damage than you should (comparable to fighters) due to items which also make you extremaly durable and give you additional utility
actualy pick a champion who doesnt get everything ... buy items ... get everything
this is nothing new in this game ... riot solves their problems with design and ballance by making everyone have everything early mid or late ... doesnt make a diference ... champions like rene or lee sin dont need to fall off late because they have a new batch of items to compensate for their shortcomings there are even items which compensate for lack of range
the game quality indeed goes up ... but the gameplay quality does the opposite
