It feels like snowballing/stomps are becoming the norm now in League

5 of my last 7 games have pretty much been total stomps. Scores like 20-5, 12-4 and such are becoming the norm lately. Games honestly seem to be decided by first blood/first tower minus huge throws. If anyone somehow goes 0-3 early, it's pretty much GG.

I really miss the days when the game was a bit more balanced and most of the time, you had a shot. Now, games are being decided in the first 10 mins with first tower gold and Rift, the rich get richer and the fucked get fucked harder.

IMO its more fun having a 35 minute close game than a 20 minute stomp

What close game ends at 35 minutes.

Everytime i have a truly close game the fucker goes for over 60 minutes.

Hell i just had a hour and 8 minute game last week.

Fuck being that tense for so long.

NEver knowing if a single mistake is going to cost you an hour.

Mostly its the common mentality of "I could come back at teamfights" that causes this. There is a certain degree you are allowed to fall off and remain relevant

Thing is, there is a limit to coming back at teamfights. 10 kills behind, maybe you have a slight chance, but anything more and you're probably not going to have a significant chance unless they throw really hard.

A lot of it also has to do with champions that are feast or famine and Riot hates that. So what they're doing is load power into champ so that in case they're behind they can catch up, but with that if they're already ahead then they can stomp their way through to the Nexus.

I don't understand why people are so against snowballing and stomping.

It's like they want to play 50-60 minute games everytime because a team being 10 kills ahead should still have only a slight advantage.

If anything, I prefer 20 minute games. If someone stomped me, it's because they played better than me. I'd rather not have my loss be because it's 50 minutes into the game and one person fucks up.

Because the high damage meta and snowballing have amplified losing games by 10, making them over sooner and the longer the game goes, the more even it becomes and the better chances you have of winning. My teams were not consistently being down 10-20 kills by 20 mins in previous years, now we are. It also influences the meta and makes early game champs stronger.

I honestly think that early games are actually not stronger. Late game champs, if you last a little bit, outscale much faster in this snowbally meta. Of course, hyper late game champs have suffered, but mid-late game champions are still viable, but a whole team can't really go late fame comp now. The ideal comp seems to be early game jungle, early game support, mid-late game ADC, mid-late game midlane, top lane compensates for remainder of team, usually going mid game champion. The overall comp having at least 1 mid game champion.
