The Less Mechanical Skill A Champion Has, The less Damage They Should do

Like I don't wanna see bare bone mechanical champions like Garen doing shit tons of damage when he just silences you. It's not just garen, but in general, Less skill should mean less damage idk wtf is so hard about understanding that.

Garen has other limitations, like being easily kited, completely lacking in crowd control, and easily flanked due to his poor escaping mechanisms. Not every champ needs an absurdly loaded kit. Not every person likes playing with an overloaded kit and people should not be flat out punished for not wanting to play with an overloaded kit. Garen is fine. Learn to take advantage of weaknesses.

People shouldn't be rewarded for playing brain dead champions with no skill required. You can't twist the truth.

This is 100% true. Coming from a Mastery 6 former Garen main, he is easily kited and vulnerable to ganks, due to his lack of mobility and cc. He suffers against ranged champions such as quinn, gnar, and even lulu (lulu vs garen one for all is not fun for the garen players... not at all...) Not to be offensive or anything, but I suspect that two gold players would have more game knowledge and champion knowledge than a low silver player. Case closed?

Braindead champs have the limitation of their entire kit being predictable. What else is a Garen going to do to you? You can predict what he's gonna do even before getting into the game - because that's ALL HE DOES. Run at people, headfirst, Q a squishy, spin their team and try to ult someone. That's telegraphed to the maximum already, on top of his cast times. If you don't even want to bother trying to counter that with a little thinking, maybe you should be reconsidering who are the real braindead ones.

What gold 4 tent said -Garen’s entirely predictable, and the simpler a champion’s kit is, the more predictable it becomes. He’s gonna run at you with Q... (if he’s a bit smarter, he’ll auto first and then Q for a reset).... Then he hits E. Pantheon is another strong but mechanically basic champion. Point and click stun. Throws spears. Throws more spears. Ignited you. Throws another spear. So while upfront you may think they’re stronger, but they do have a very real weakness which is a complete lack of innovation and utility.

As a jax main, I can tell you I’d much rather play against Garen and pantheon (my “counters”) than mechanically complex champions like Yasuo or riven (which I “counter). And if you can’t find ways to defeat completely predictable opponents, it’s not they who are the “brain dead” ones.

on the flip side there's azir kalista and ryze requiring too much mechanical skill forcing them into the gutter for normal players.
