Is Riot against allowing supports that are behind to farm if the rest of their team did well?

Just seems this diminishing gold thing is horribly unfair to supports...

it's obviously meant to gate farming carries from abusing the item so I guess riot would rather take a big dumb on supports then allow it.

Shit happens, you fall behind as support due to stuff like bad match up, bad partner, or just simply outplayed. You should be able to farm after lane phase like before.

when a support falls behind they can only hope to get carried while avoiding almost all interactions with the enemy, when A carry falls behind they just have some chill for 5-10 minutes while they pve.....

What supports do you play? Most of the real supports don't have wave clear even good enough to farm anything. You should have your 1k gold on your item by no later then 20 mins after that point if you want to spend 45 seconds killing one wave your likely getting even farther behind aren't you?
