Swain should join yorick in the "no fun allowd" corner
Seriously, he should. His kit is jsut intolerable to deal with in lane, i have not seen a single champion in this game do well agasint him in lane, he always has free reign to farm and poke, and harass with 0 repercussions and no threat to him at any point so long as he can ult.
Heres a few of the things he can do in lane:
- Sustain forever as long as he has mana (like yorick)
- harass without ever taking aggro from minions with over time damage that jsut follows youa roudn no matetr where you go EVEN if you become untargetable (similar to yorick)
- Has an ult that makes him ungodly tanky and heals him for all of the damage in the world (again, similar to yorck)
- Can be as aggressive or passive as he wants becuase if you attempt to dive him he can ult and screw you over any any time (like yorick...)
while he lacks any reliable way to kill his opponents, again like yorick, his impossibly annoying kit lets him just sit there KNOWWING you cant hurt him, and the worst part is according to what ive read he got one little nerf, then NOTHING but buffs since his release... i suppose the issue is that not enough peopel play him for this to be an issue, but honestly, how many people play yorick? I almsot NEVER see him, and when i do its ALWAYS in ARAM. but swain pops up every few games, and has been getting mroe and more popular simply becuase his laning phase it too safe and oppresive, similar to how yorick is, which is what got him removed form rotation. So why is swain allowd to stay but yorick not?
and any sort of mobility are your best friends when you're up against Swain. Don't try to 1v1 him,especially if a minion wave is nearby, you're just committing suicide. He excels at locking down one target but aside from R he really has no way to deal with multiple people ganging up on him...unless they're melee, then he can just W you all if you're clustered(which you shouldn't be).
