I figured out why people are so toxic now-a-days.

No body in this game has a sense of humor anymore. You can't do obvious banter without flicking at the wrong person and earning yourself a report regardless of how minuscule or mundane your comment may be. Everyone takes things so extremely literal and at face value that no body can laugh or have a good time without feeling like someone in the community is attacking them or berating them.

And before someone jumps in and points a finger saying something like "Well you shouldn't punch low." or "Stop flamming or flame baiting." I would like to tell you what sparked this thought.

My cousin was in a game against a Vayne and Ali. He was playing Cait with his support Morgana. Vayne eventually got triggered and started talking about how Bullshit the lane was and my cousin fired back with "Don't you mean alistar shit?" This started a shit storm in all chat of report threats and how they can't wait for my cousin to be banned and how they're going to file support tickets yadda yadda.

Sorry for the long winded rant but this was just an eye opener to me and I think from now on I'm just going to turn off all chat and mute my team and just communicate with pings.

Basically the game became "play to win" over "play for fun" in most facets of the game. Unless you have that loose mentality that plays to play for yourself, you're probably going to fall in line with that "play to win" aspect. And that's just a majority of the community these days.

To be fair, it's hard to be in good humor when it takes longer to get into games now than it did last season

Vayne players are usually toxic. I don't know what your cousins crappy joke had to do with him being the target tho.

I don't see it, everyone's identical to how they've always been.
