If a champion gets completely reworked, like akali...

Then all mastery points should go back to 0.

using akali as a base example You have NO mastery on a brand new champion. nothing about her is the same. nothing. not even W. yes, W... that is completely different OTHER than just invisibility. that is it.

I understand some of this, but it's simply not feasible.

Sometimes, you work HELLA FUCKING HARD to get those S tokens to go up from 5 to 6, and then 6 to 7, and even then, you're consuming champ shards (potentially up to 6300 in value) or BE to upgrade your mastery. This means you're investing a lot of work into getting that level 6 and 7 emote, and I'd be royally pissed if I had to start all over again and put in that much more effort for an emote I've already earned just because they got a VGU. No thank you.

your talking to a 1.4 million mastery point akali main. just saying.

akali pretty much is the same champ with more windows to actually outplay your opponents and for them to outplay you some cases such as aatrox i could see this happening on due to his play style swapping into a champ reliant on abilities instead of just autos

I agree And honestly, people should get some kind of reward if they had a mastery lvl 6 or 7 with the reworked champion before the rework

Frosted Tips1 votes

If the reward is something along the lines of replacing the blue essence required to get lvl 7 and a masterworks chest and key and double exp for mastery score until you hit lvl 5 on the reworked champion then ok

Arcade Lulu1 votes

Something close to that Probably also depending on how much mastery score you have and what mastery lvl

i mean, i would be hella pissed if lulu got reworked and the mastery score etc would reset because i've spent so much time on it (900k points)

Frosted Tips2 votes

Well I personally don't agree with resetting a champion mastery score for reworks.

I mean, the mastery scores are really misleading with reworked champs But whatever, not really gonna change my life because the only champ i've played that got reworked was evelynn

Mastery scores mean nothing anyways. I commented earlier in this

Mastery level really doesn't mean much more than time spent on a champion even if you played like complete garbage and never learned how to play them well. Even level 6 and 7 doesn't mean anything because people can just get lucky games and get mastery 6 and 7 so I don't see this helping in anyway and it just pissing people off that spent time getting a specific champion to that mastery level.

i get what you are saying and im indifferent on it. like i have lvl 7 mastery on nunu, galio for example and i cant play the new galio as well as i could the old one. completely different champ. i havent really tried the new nunu yet. but all in all i dont think i care either way.

Mastery points don't really do anything, though. They just look fancy.
