Watch cowsep videos to see how much of a problem he is, he climbs to masters easily by playing 99% master yi. Low elos like gold players can't deal with yi at all, it's literally a disgusting display, a tired old story of them being clueless and yi getting 15+ kills. This isn't a skill thing, it's a tremendously unbalanced champion thing, and there's honestly no reason yi shouldn't have been nerfed long ago.

its more of the lack of counterplay to their kits,
Yi kit is right click till they die, hard to outplay difference in a skilled player vs another player of same skill lvl the enemy has less options to outplay that type of kit. not to mention he has true damage magic damage from itemzation and % health damage from itemzation, makes building defense nearly useless.
Same thing for akali as she has tons of hybird damage an dishes out damage in an uncounterable way other than dont be near me.
When a challenger akali player faced another challenger, the enemy has less ways to counterplay the damage than if the akali player was on something that is skillshot related.
Same shit with garen he has no counterplay to his damage other than dont be near me or kite me.
This is why there are so many high elo 1 tricks on simple champions.

those defensive items are complete trash, and yi can build QSS or GA, Steraks he can build slight defensive. with rageblade and jungle item and bortk he can d enough damage to kill anyone squishy or tanky, so his other items can be straight defensive if he wants.

cc is counter to everything buddy, your counterplay shouldnt be just CC him. like shut up, the champion is busted as hell he can tower dive super easy with meditate and does insane hybird damage. other day a yi with rage blade an jungle item did 700 true damage to me as ezreal. i had gauntlet and tabi an he did over half my hp in just true damage.

You are probably are yi main who thinks he is really weak and requires heaps of skill. I keep playing in games where a yi feeds then one shots everyone after he feeds. He is just too broken

Pika Fox2 votesNo, its not. A champion like Yi has no answer to CC. If he builds resists, he cant effectively deal damage. CC is far less effective on champions with kits or builds that allow them to survive or mitigate them better. CC is the entire reason defensive items are far more powerful than offensive ones.

CC is not effective on tanky champions because they can soak it easily. Master Yi is squishy and instantly dies to CC, also he's melee so it's easy to pointblank CC him. Because a counterplay is simple doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
In any case, Master Yi has a balanced winrate and a weak presence in high elo, if that doesn't scream balanced I don't know what does. If he gets nerfed, he will simply be trash accross all elos. Is that what you want? I guess. But I wouldn't take you in the balance team.

His ult can't be slowed, you can't build against him, thornmail is a joke and he'll still cut you down in a second or two. He also can't be targeted in alpha, and who cares if he's sometime squishy, he still does so much damage he just rips through a team. Cowsep isn't special or particularly skilled, the champion is just broken af and if Riot cared at all about anything but making money off skins he would got nerfed before he even hit the rift.

"Adcs are dead to yi", right, providing they don't have G.A and they're afk farming for 30 minutes solo in a side lane Pretty sure you haven't played against an adc that can properly space out and kite or a team that knows how to protect its carries, for real.
"Plus he's really fast and can't be touched", meanwhile mf can still outrun you through Highlander, same for draven, jayce, neeko and the list goes on. Trust me, Slowlander isn't as good as you think.
