imaqtpie is one of the most famous league streamers on earth. He's an ex-pro, and someone who ranks new accounts to challenger all the time. so I want all of you who've spent the better part of years on here pretending NA's ban system is holier than thou and amazing to really let that sink in. I want you to really take a moment and realize how wrong you've been and change your ways, and stop talking down to those who've posted here. Those banned are not the problem, NA's system is the problem. That is all.

It just shows that punishment system is fair, that there are no favourites or exceptions and that everyone is treated equally. So yes, it makes me appreciate Riot even more.

It's like, right there. Hate speech, insults, and accusatory remarks. I'm gonna guess he only got reported for harassment and/or negative attitude, 'cause I've seen cases where calling people "retard" resulted in a 14-day ban from the gate. He should certainly count himself lucky.

This just goes to show that popular streamers aren't above the rules.

From what I've seen, Riot doesn't actually include "retard" in it's list of hate speech that violates Riot's zero tolerance policy. If it did count as hate speech by Riot's standards, it would earn a two week ban right away, rather than a chat ban. However, it's obviously an insult, and Riot doesn't tolerate a pattern of insults in games.

The only problem I see is the fact he got punished for 1 game of calling someone retard once, which isn't a IFS Non-tolerance word.

Retard isn't considered hate speach, It can be considered slang or offensive based on the context.

Retard inhabits a place with moron, imbecile, stupid.

Sure calling someone any of those as a tool of harassment isn't okay, but does it deserve the amount of punishment as using the word [Edited] or kill yourself? I don't think so, and I'm sure a majority of the community feels the same.
