Does Riot plan to get rid of enrage timers on games?

I'm talking about Nasus of course. I really don't find any fun in employing mid, jungle and top to abandon playing the game their own way to force nasus out of lane just in order to extend the enrage timer, where if that timer is met, nasus decides it is time to win and wins

you saw it when ZionSpartan played it on Dignitas in the LCS, there wasn't a damn thing that team could do to stop him, and it wasn't because he worked hard and outgeared players, it wasn't because he got a ton of kills and was 3-4 levels ahead of everyone, it's because he did what everyone else in the game does, except when he CS'es he permanently increases damage on a skill that gets down to a 2 second cooldown and does upwards of 1000+ damage in one strike

just lower the ratio of what he gets per stack, he will still be overwhelming if he free farms or gets a ton of kills

it's just, you nerfed Evelynn into where she has no place anywhere in the game, because she had damage while building tank

Nasus is this time a thousand, he builds 100% tank with a trinity force and starts 2 shotting everyone in the game if you don't spend an entire game balancing between shutting him down and then keeping your lanes from falling, and your opponents from out farming you

please do something...nerf Q ratios, rework him to do something else...it's really astounding that he's been able to be this bad for this long..

Teams don't need to shut down nasus anymore, they can just kite him. There is a reason why he gets picked in less than 1% of pro games right now.

you CAN kite him end game to avoid him when he's trying to pick you off, but what about when you engage in team fights, is it not annoying that you have to disengage and run away immediately from him? or switch the entire focus to a tank because he also has the highest damage?

So there's this way to beat Nasus called kiting. Note that he has no gapcloser and while he has no upper limit to his damage (realistically, 1000 damage) there is a hard cap to his tankiness. Back when Azir was actually good, Azir hard countered Nasus due to his sustained AP damage. At this point, any sustained damage AP like Swain wrecks him, as well as kiting ADCs like Vayne and Kalista.

good luck with that, he's either going to turn around and say fuck you to the adc, or he's going to get close enough, wither you and murder you

obviously there's a cap to tankiness, which is then extended massively by his ult, he doesn't need that ult at all...

Have you Karma Leblanc JarvanIV 'd him? Nasus gets to cry in a corner while being perma-cc'd.

Oh look, his Wither just got QSS'd. Now he can't pursue Vayne and she kills him with kiting.

That or Vayne got a Banshee's Veil and Nasus can't tag her with Wither because of the spell shield.

The reason Zion did well is because it was a wet noodle fight in top lane that gave him a huge advantage and it was always maokai who went to stop him, but by that time Nasus had damage.

But why is running away from him an acceptable thing? him killing YOU isn't his only threat, the real problem is if he EVER gets near a structure, he's toasting it, and can survive like a tryndamere with ult up and ensure that he takes something, all a team has to do is hold you off while he does that, yes im aware you can guard the base, i just feel like he's a bit overwhelming versus other picks,

if you REALLY don't think that someone who is tanky should not also be able to do the highest damage per strike in the game...then okay...but i don't think he should be able to have both,

I really highly think his Q should be nerfed a little bit, even nerfing half the ratio off it, he would still 4 shot you and make a big difference in the game, he has a 5 second slow and super tank steroid ult, he has enough..

with that said, i'd be happy with 75% of his Q scaling still existing, just do something, admittedly i'm not in high ELO games, i am stuck playing with morons who don't understand how to shut him down, so unless i play jungle, where i'm at in low gold/high silver currently, it is unmanageable, and you can tell me about how people need to get smarter and level up as players etc...

but you know the casuals, they're never gonna do that. I don't want 100% boring balance...don't get me wrong

You aren't running from him, you are kiting him, just like you would kite anyone else. In fact, nasus's mobility is so bad that you end up running significantly less kiting away from him as you do someone like vi. You don't need your team to shut him down, you just need to kite properly (and that does not mean running).

but not everyone can kite him, what if you're a melee champion? one of the biggest things i dislike, is that if you didn't camp him or successfully kill him, while he's trying to do nothing but farm, basically he's on the defensive, trying to CS, has built in life leach, and you HAVE to kill him or push him out somehow, or after 10 minutes, he gets that first frozen heart or spirit visage or combo of sheen and merc treads, whatever he does to shut you down personally

after 10-12 minutes, all you can do is play defensive while he farms, i just feel like you shouldn't have to kill your lane opponent and put yourself at risk of being ganked yourself just to ensure that he doesn't become a monster, i'm not asking for much, just nerf the damage aspect of him when he builds tank, make Q do more dmg if he builds dmg and less if he builds tank, something...

I played against nasus just the other day. He didn't have much of an effect at all that game. I spent time shutting him down until I took the first tower, then spent the rest of the game helping out my team and winning, only going top to clear waves now and then. He wasn't even stacking that poorly. Still had around 300 by 20 mins and we let him have a sole 10 mins of free farming throughout the game. He couldn't 2 shot anyone on our team, even our squishy people. I was had sunfire cape, frozen heart, and ninja tabis so he barely hurt me at all.

Long story short I faced a nasus the other day, won fairly easily, and now i'm gold.

it's just, you nerfed Evelynn into where she has no place anywhere in the game, because she had damage while building tank

Most tanky DPS champions have Nasus-levels of damage while building full tank. Having DPS while building full-tank isn't a problem in the general sense.

It's just - out of the DPS rolls, fighters have tank to survive long enough to do their job, assassins have mobility/stealth, marksman and mages have range.

There's a massive difference between an assassin like Evelynn or Kha'Zix building tanky DPS vs. a fighter like Nasus. Nasus can't surprise people, he can't leap on their face, he can't turn invisible - the only way he really survives long enough to deal damage is if he builds full-tank.

Kha and Eve? If they can already survive long enough to do their job with stealth/mobility, being tanky enough to survive without those things is not ideal.

I'm talking about Nasus of course.

All late-game champions have their power spike at late-game, Nasus is nothing unique in this regard.

There's 2 things you need to keep in mind with Nasus in regards to his late-game:

  1. late game is never guaranteed to come. Early and mid game are. If you played an early/mid-game spiking champion, and didn't ride your power spike to end the game before Nasus even got his shot, you deserve to loose. If you're playing an end-game champion - you can usually have the same impact as Nasus.

  2. The average game only lasts ~33 minutes and only sees ~11,000 gold per player. That only works out to thee major 3,000 gold items, 1,000 in boots, and the remaining 1k in the bank when someone's Nexus explodes. Average level is probably 17 as well. Infinite scaling's main advantage is you don't face a ceiling with item slots or experience levels, but LoL is set up in such a way it's statistically unlikely infinite scaling actually gives that advantage.

Which ultimately only causes Siphoning Strike to allow the tanky DPS Nasus to do damage while building full-tank, rather than forcing him to build defense to survive without doing anything while assassins get to survive with mobility (from the start) and deal damage and mages and marksman get to survive with range (without having to build range) and deal damage.

No.

He is by far the easiest champ to kite, an underfed support and adc can work together and bring down even the most fed nasus.

Tryndamere doesn't have to focus on last hitting to get strong, but late game a single basic attack does as much damage as a Nasus Q strike, and keep in mind it isn't uncommon to see Tryndamere have 100% crit chance along with +2.0 attack speed.

Not to mention he has an AOE slow, compared to Nasus's single target slow, and a high damage gapcloser that not only prevents kiting, but works as a nice wallhop if anything goes sour. And while Nasus has to build tank in order to survive, Trynd presses R and gets guaranteed survival for 5 seconds.

A late game that is at least as good as nasus, except he doesnt have to spend most of the game playing farmville.

I find laning against Nasus to be massively dull and uninteresting. Spend your game time playing "deny the farm" and hope the team wins their lanes while you do it. The best melee counter I've found against him so far is Pantheon but it's still a boring as hell matchup. Yes you can kite but there comes a point where you are fighting as a team for an objective and he's off farming a lane somewhere, stacking up. As much as I'd love to be able to ignore him if you have a bad team fight he'll be there looking to add you to his stacks. The average team has no clue how to deal with him and sees his massive damage and almost permanent slow then run away.

These are two ranked games I just played. Take a look at the match times... the one where I played Vi went 40 minutes, and the one I played yasuo IN LANE AGAINST NASUS was 52 minutes. By your logic, this Nasus should have pretty much been two shotting and wrecking our whole team... he wasn't. I soloed both Nasus's several times, and it really wasn't that difficult. Nasus isn't broken if you play against him correctly.
