Wouldn't now be the best time to bring assassins back ?

ADC's do a ton of damage, Supports and tanks give a ridiculous amount of peel and mages can't really get around the front line to get to the murder machines. Isn't this the time we NEED assassins in league to help balance the game?

...

...

..

Buff them. ADC's are not immortal but they should worry about their opponents playing right or having the right card, not be more worried that their tanks or supports have the right items.

Considering ADC's are very strong RN the one left standing offers a huge advantage to the team, this makes assassins at an all time important part of the team in league than ever before. If only there were competent assassins. Give them their jobs back. We need them. https://media.giphy.com/media/yE3P1gj3qLMbe/giphy.gif

Idk man...

People complain about item 3504 and other support items being overloaded and granting them too much impact Meanwhileitem 3147 still exists, and rewards any AD Assassins with BONUS DAMAGE for doing their job the way they SHOULD be doing it in the first place... for free...

IMHO, id much rather see item 3147 have something like a 10 sec cooldown on its Nightstalker proc (Making it less reliant on champions that can abuse the passive for multiple proc's) and then we could talk about buffs to Assassins... It's not really funny when im on a team that has 3 different champions each building duskblade vs a Sejuani Galio on enemy team, and im the support whose job is to support a item 3147 MissFortune (LUL) ...

What are they supposed to buy, items that reward them for peeling their ADC? OFC their items syngerize with their goal and help them assassinate.

Besides, that argument can be used for almost anything:

item 3165 gives mages mana for doing their job the way they SHOULD be doing it in the first place... for free... item 3193 gives tanks stats for doing their job the way they SHOULD be doing it in the first place... for free... item 3092 gives supports gold for doing their job the way they SHOULD be doing it in the first place... for free... Veigar's Q gives him AP for doing their job the way he SHOULD be doing it in the first place... for free... etc.

I've no problem with assassins being rewarded for doing what they should be doing, but the current iteration of duskblade doesn't really do that...

Instead, it rewards you for picking champions that can abuse (get multiple proc's off during a single fight) it's Nightstalker passive... What im trying to point out is, it rewards your champion pick rather than your in game play.

So does every keystone in the game and a significant percentage of items in the shop.

Please no. Buffing while on paper sounds good will lead to power creeping. Whenever you buff something to fix a problem of something to strong, you aren't solving the issue, just trying to beat the problem with a bigger one. Then you will only start going up in the amount of bullshit power you get.

Ornn for example isn't very strong atm but I think that's due to many other things being stronger than Ornn being too weak.

They have to buff the champions they got no choice, they already tried giving them strong items but because they refuse to make melee / range items only then said items get abused by Ranged AD's You also can't put up a huge nerf wave because a certain champ will just benefit from the others being weaker no matter what.

It's far more beneficial for the game long term if we dial back power. It's like a speaker. Dial back the volume or you'll blow out the speakers way before they should have. That'll be league. Too much power getting shoved into the game isn't solving problems, it's just creating future ones.

Good luck convincing people. People hate assassins.

In any event, we can still kill ADCs, you just have to coordinate your dive with your tank's initiate. In other words, you need a strong team comp on top of good communications because a Janna/Lulu/Soraka pressed two buttons.

I respect the level of skill necessary on both sides here.

it's not that you can't kill the ADC, surely you can. But when you play ADC and you die whose fault was it? was it your teams for not using the correct items or kits to protect you or because the enemy team played their cards right? Chances are your support and tank got distracted else were. But what if your support and tank still peeled but you got flanked because of lack of ward coverage and an assassin get's to you. Should that assassin be allowed to kill you is what i'm getting at? or should you easily rub it off healing through life steal, the ridiculous amounts of shields and heals from items and kits and what not? I say yea, that assassin deserves the kill and he'll be contributing to his team greatly.

Bring their buffs back is what i'm saying, we're not at a point were an assassins burst is that much more punishing than an ADC's or Mage's except sins can burst 1 squishy down with a full rotation and Mages cause massive aoe damage to a whole team while ADC's attribute to constant huge amounts of damage non-stop. The damage dealers can play as a family now that the power creep is ridiculously high.

As long as supports continue to be so influential over the course of a game, and their items continue to be so overloaded and gold efficient, assassins will never be a thing unless they are completely overturned and broken as well. The two can simply not coexist.

See back when the bitching about assassins was at full swing, mage mains also complained about assassins along with the ADC trash. Due to mages squishy nature, if their name weren't Malzahar or Vladimir, they were also easy prey for assassins.

If you find a way doing this without rendering the classic Mage even more obsolet than they already are... fine. Mid-Lane is in a terrible state right now. You have the free choice - be the secondary Support for your ADC or be the secondary JGL for your ADC. If you try something else be ready to meet the 4-0 Tris flash-juming on top of you at your tower without you being able to punish her a bit since she has 2-3 Lifebars. But buffing Assassins to a point where they're able to keep up with ADC/Supps you would ruin Mid-Lane completely since both options I mentioned earlier require you to be able to leave your lane for a sec without being obliterated by an Assassin on your way bot.

If the roaming is denied from mages as well... zero reason to even consider picking them.
