He also feels like hes not a mid laner anymore and should be kept in the jungle or building straight tank.

What does the community think about him after the nerfs

Told you so. You lot wanted this. You insisted he was OP. We told you over and over and over again the amount of counterplay he has is just asinine. You didn't listen. Of course he'll be weak if he's nerfed when he's balanced.

Yeah, he now have a 100 mana cost on his ult, and 10% Ap less damage. He is super weak now.

Ekko's current state of balance doesn't change how atrocious his design is.

Giving an assassin 4 sources of CC on his kit makes absolutely no sense even if some of it is situational.

Did anyone actually expect Ekko not to build tank? His CC's fairly comparable to most meta tanks right now of course he's going to be built tank and not as an assassin, especially since his bases are really high.

Ekko's kit is just absurdly fucking obnoxious. The first hit on his Q does 120 base damage with .1 AP scaling at rank 5. In other words, it's nearly fucking worthless until you hit the return trip. His passive does way too much and as a result his only other regular nuke, his E, has to have low base damage and scaling as well. And then we have his ult, which is still the biggest fucking disaster this game has every seen. Literally no other move makes as little sense as this one. Honestly, I think one of the biggest payouts for Ekko is just to flash or E into the enemy team, pop zhonyas and wait for your clone to catch up, and then press R directly into them for the massive damage. This move just makes absolutely no sense. His kit is so fucking obnoxious; there's no other word for it. His Q sucks without hitting both times, he has no trade potential without proccing his passive, and his total burst damage is trash unless he hits his ult, which is thematically not even meant for damage. Just an all around failure of a champ.

Ya his kit seems fun but his identity is not with his kit. Hes ment to be a assassin and he has no real way to do that unless people or you are able to poke people down and the mechanics on his Q is so slow even talon can W and clear the wave before ekkos Q returns and talon fired W after ekko. Lane phase is really hard because his Q does not do enough dmg to farm safely and its way to easy to dodge. I'm just not sure its worth playing him right now as a assassin mid laner.

Hold tight, a few buffs hit the PBE last night. It sounds like their going to reduce is mana costs on his Q and the CDR on his E.

This should give him a better laning phase and have more opportunities to engage.

If you go to leagueofgraphs you'll see that Jungle is probably his best role. That's also where he's most popular in Diamond. There are a few buffs for him on the PBE currently, but I think that being melee and having an ult that's difficult to use offensively are holding him back as a solo laner.
