if you look at every meta lcs jungler.

Elise Graves RekSai Gragas

susain. now graves doesn't have sustain. but he lifesteals a lot from just the jg item. and he takes no aggro because of his passive. artificial sustain that works.

but the other top 3. gragas. elise. and reksay. all of those. have sustain. kindred was still a contested pick until after that one sustain nerf he got on his W. that removed it.

doesn't take a genius. stop making jungle champions that can clear both sides and come out with full health.

Think it has more to do with strong early pressure what they can contribute to the team. Take a look at these junglers that have sustain but are never used in LCS.

xin is a buriser and a melee carry which those are not played. often if at all in the lcs. kha zix. has sustain. but he sucks. he will take so much damage. yi is a melee carry. the rest are either melee carries. or too many hungry.

melee carries are not viable in pro play. also maokai. takes too much damage and his sustain is not enough

You made it a point that sustain is what makes them good competitive junglers even though it doesnt even apply to Graves

You then proceeded to give multiple reasons why sustain doesnt matter.

You are literally arguing against your own thread lmao

did you read? graves. has artificail sustian. in the meaning. that he heals too much from the jungle item. his E makes him tanky enough to take little damage if he takes agro. and he barely takes any because of a dash and his passive that lets him knock back creeps

lol

why do i expect you to know anything your a wukong otp. you have no idea how anyone else works.

The ENTIRE POINT OF YOUR THREAD was to point out that sustain is the reason those champs are played in the LCS.

When confronted with other junglers with sustain, you immediately start listing off other reasons why or why not junglers are viable.

So sustain isnt such a big factor then is it? If sustain was the biggest factor then Fiddlesticks is now the most top tier contested LCS Jungler. Lmao

I can do a full clear with Jax, Diana, and rumble and still have most of my health left and none of them have sustain

Their sustain has very little to do with why they're picked. Elise offers very early gank pressure and can snowball lanes early on. Gragas and Reksai are tanky and have great ganking potential and they each have their own individual things that they get picked for (like gragas's CC and reksai's map presence and vision with her tremor sense)

Well, actually: Jax has sustain in the form of an AA dodging ability (which works against everything except dragon). Diana has a wonderful shield that refreshes and re-applies its full value and Rumble has a shield he can pop whenever he wants that gets bigger after he hits 50 heat.

All 3 get the healing/lifesteal from their jungle item start, so yeah they do have quite decent sustain.

Where is Nidalee in this thread? She's probably the worst offender in this group... She doesn't require mana past the first clear and has an absurd power curve. She has a strong early game but also requires no mana to tussle at close range for a 1400 damage combo with a lich bane and runic echoes... but I digress

You're right, all of the best junglers have sustain. Sustain is the limiting factor in the jungle. The junglers that run out of mana suck. Junglers with no health sustain suck. Junglers that can gank but can't sustain suck, junglers that can sustain but can't gank suck.

yes shes just one more example. i dont see any 0 sustain junglers being played. again graves takes no damage and he benefits a lot from lifesteal so it counts as sustain.
