So, Talon's silence got removed because there was no counterplay against him.

Same with Le Blanc's one. And Kassadin's one too.

So I ask: why is Rengar allowed to have 1,75 seconds root? Isn't that enough that he can 100-0 everything in existence in less than 0,5 second? Why does he have a spell that doesn't give his enemies any chance to escape? If he catches you, you are basically dead. You can't do anything. Fighting him? He has too much damage + he has a goddamn heal that can heal him for up to 500 damage. Wait till root ends? It ends with your screen turning grey. Oh, and he has invisibility. And passive that gives him dash whenever he is in the bush/he is invisible.

At least you could move while being silenced. That's something. With this thing, if the Rengar you are playing against is good enough, you won't be able to do jack sh*t. He outdamages nearly everything and heals himself on top of that. While you are rooted, you can't flash away, you can't dash away, you can't blink away and you won't be fast enough to CC him when Rengar's assassinations look like this:

Well, okay, not everybody can do it as fast. But this things:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvwFu2EFrfA

can do everybody who played Rengar at least for a little while.

Yes, I have just lost to Rengar. But it always bugged me. Why does he have that? So he can get fed easier to do sh*t shown in the videos I linked? If Talon, Le Blanc and Kassadin had their silence taken away, because it made their kit have no counterplay (I don't deny that silence was OP on them), why Rengar has access to hard CC that lasts nearly 2 seconds?

There's a major difference.

Talon, Kassadin and Leblanc's silences were targeted by clicking on the enemy you want to hit and then watching it hit. Rengar's is a straight line skillshot.

Standing behind minions never stopped the mid lane assassins from silencing you. Flashing or moving or blinking out of the way never stopped the mid lane assassins from silencing you.

But it does stop Rengar from rooting you.

During season 4, Rengar was supposed to be reworked to get rid of his uncounterable 100>0 burst, by shifting his damage pattern towards a more sustained combat. For this reason, he gained the 1.75 second root on E.

However, instead of going all-in with this pattern change after the rework's release, he got damage back in all the wrong places, making him the stupid burster again.

You mean the line-skillshot root that he has to expend all his ferocity stacks on?
